So I’m really curious about the washer settings or activation. Is there a way to put the dual outlet pump in and make it work without doing the trail cam install? Say if you wanted to have a rear camera washer or rig up some sprayers for the headlights.

The washer soft button only appears when the CVPM is displaying the front camera.

so there’s no way to put a hard button inline at all? All that’s needed is to reverse the polarity to use the other port. Besides the soft button what controls the front washer? The CVPM? The part I’m not fully understanding is the point of the washer pump harness or swapping wires to the different cavity

I couldn't tell you why Jeep reverse those wires but they did

The cvpm is what presents the rectangular soft button to wash the front

so the CVPM presents the soft button on the radio; that part is understood. Besides adding the CVPM to the system there’s no changes to the washer pump wiring circuitry. Am I correct to assume that? If that’s the case then the BCM should still have the ability to activate the washer pump in reverse polarity.

The screen softbutton must be pressed to tell the BCM to activate the pump and tell it which way to flow. There is no other way to activate it. Not sure how you'd emulate that. A Tazer could probably send the command, might have to feature request that. If they added it, you could map it to a button on the steering wheel or something.

I guess what you can try is vampire tap into the harness and apply current/voltage to the pump manually and have a physical switch to control that.

Only thing I would be concerned is how this feedbacks into the BCM? Install diode maybe?

I was thinking about that as well. I was debating on a relay possibly. Have power go through the relay freely but when pressing a switch it’ll let the relay reverse the polarity of the pump.

Got my 23 wrangler rubicon hooked up. Been about two days now with no issues so far, hoping it stays that way.
Wrangler already had parts like the washer pump, so I spent more than I had to. Wrangler also needs a 90 degree cable for the rear camera. Other than that this thread was the majority of what it took.
Thanks to @DailyDrivenTJ for answering a couple questions and his thread suggesting to use smaller guage wire for the harness. I ended up using 24 awg wire and needle nose along with the suggested crimper tool. Wickedjl in the wrangler forums helped and suggested the needle nose to help get the connectors to fit!
Everything is under the passanger seat for now. If everything keeps working ill put it in the console and clean all all the extra cables!

Glad that you got it to work!

Do share…what crimper tool did you use?

Hi, where did you tap into the video?
I want to put my CVPM behind the glove box. From the diagram, it looks like there's back camera video cable connector near the passenger kick panel.

There is a video cable there. If you don't have the front camera its the cable from the rear camera.
My cvpm is under the passanger seat right now but will go in the center console.
