Be honest — who else bought a Gladiator and said ‘I’ll keep it stock’… then immediately ordered parts? 😂

What ham radio did you install and how did you mount it?
Yaesu FT8900 that I had removed from sold vehicles. It has a remote head, so I mounted the main power unit under the driver's seat and double sided taped the head in between the shift console and dash.

Bought mine in March, went off-road for the first time in April, ordered parts right after I got back home... it's grown and changed over the years and now 3 1/2 years later I'm all in crazy...

Ok, I didn't make that assumption and now I understand why you did.
Cool! Also, people are almost never referring to extra storage or dashboard mods when they talk about "stock" Jeeps. OP directly mentioned "stock" iirc.

Does this conversation make sense...

"You got a stock Jeep?"
"Nah, I added some seat back storage MOLL-E and a cargo net for groceries"

Doesn't make sense does it?

I love'em, one of the first things I did was rip out the crap factory out and put those in.

I love those panels for the most part. Extra storage on Jeeps is one of the best parts imo. Check out the Hazard 4 Freedom Top MOLL-E's. I am looking at getting them myself.

I swore I was gonna just drive it as-is for a while… Fast-forward 2 weeks: lift kit, tires, lights, and my wallet’s in ICU 😅
Let’s see how long y’all lasted before the mod bug bit

I bought mine in July. I’ve put a bed liner in and seat covers. I want to by steps to put on my rock rails, tint my windows and put something on the roof for insulation.

Not me I put a bed mat and roll up cover on it and a set of Nighthawk decals for the hood and I'm done. But I'm old school and like everything original and not Dicked with.

I inadvertently made my Overland drive at better than stock when trying to make it look better. A combination of the Rubicon LE take off suspension, Fox steering stabilizer, and Revo 3 tires and it drives way better than stock. I hated the overland floaty ride, the steering stabilizer gave the steering a firmer feel, and it has a lot less body roll on corners. I was just trying to make it look better

2020 JTR *almost* entirely stock. I sealed the rear window, put in proper aluminum brackets for the front windshield visors, added a relay to turn off the license plate lights while in reverse..... deleted the aux battery & pulled fuse 42 (IIRC). I think that's it.

HOWEVER..... The stock tires are almost ready for replacement @ ~61k miles, and I need to make up my mind whether to upgrade to 35's and call it a day, or go 38's with all the additional mods needed for that (steering, lift, gears, driveshafts, etc)

Don't do it!

My used '21 Rubicon came with 35s.
I swapped out with an new Rubicon owner
for his '33s.
The improvement in handling,
braking effectiveness
and throttle response was remarkable.
No regrets.

We planned to keep it mostly stock and so far we have. Pretty much.

We swapped to a Rock Hard 4x4 aluminum patriot front bumper so we could insal a Badlands Apex winch without adding too much weight and changing the design balance. This also allowed us to avoid adding a blue ox towing plate as the Rockhard bumper has blue ox tow points integrated. It works great supereasy to use and avaoids having the platehaning down in the mud and rocks.

We will probably buy slightly larger tires when the current ones wear out. If we can gain an inch of clearance without modifying shocks, springs or steering, that would be beneficial. Less scraping is better I think.

I am looking for a flat tow wiring harness There are five brands out there, including Mopar, but none available. Jeep said they are backordered with no production date (meaning probably never). I think I can order a Blue Ox version but it will take a month or so to get it. That is kind of a modification. Meanwhile we use bluetooth control magnetic towing lights. They work ok, not great.

We won a gift card at a Jeep Invasion event, so we bought a set of insulation/sound dampening pads for the hardtop. Luckily we did not find time to instal them before the hard top was destroyed in a fire. We will put them in when we find a replacement hardtop.

We might add some sort of step if we can find one that retracts beneath the rock rails. I do nto want to do anything to reduce clearance. My wife did not like getting in and out, but she got used to it, so steps may be unnecessary.

We added a 1up bike rack for 2 bikes. It is really awesome. Kind of removable so questionable as a mod. It is so heavy we will only remove it when we are going to be messy off roading.

OUrjeep came with a really neat hitch reciever plug that was a metal cutout gladiator head. We forgot to take it out before we went off road and it got all bent up. I put it in the garage to bend it back and it got vaporized int he fire. Anyone know where we could get a new one? Not critical,bt it was pretty neat and unique.

We are looking for a decent flag mount for running dunes. I bought a kit on Amazon but it was terrible and my flag pole was limp. All the others stood proudlyflaying a safety flag, but mine bent nearly to the rood at less than30 mph, then it stay limp. Embarrassing and unsafe. recommendations for a really good one?

Are Ducks a mod? People gave us ducks, so we put them on the dash.

Stock is too damn low and long. I thought it was too ugly. Never considered buying one till I seen one on 40’s. Then it looked proportionate and had to have one
