Did I miss something? The photo shows six concept vehicles but the write up failed to mention the Red Rock JT. Seems like a major omission!

Ours was the 1988 Loredo with the 4.0. I wish we still had it.My first Jeep was an XJ 1986 with a 2.8l V6 HAHAHA
GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE!!
mine had a bent PS pulley so when teh RPM got too high, like when mud bogging teh PS belt would jump off. HAHAHA and the Carb would diesel and blow a vacuum line that would flood the carb and it would not start without putting a screwdriver in to hold the butterfly open. My very first off road adventure a rock flipped up and broke my front drive shaft. Teh clutch master cylinder would leak onto teh fuse block and blow fuses. I would either have no dash lights or o brake lights.Ours was the 1988 Loredo with the 4.0. I wish we still had it.
My first Jeep was also an '88 Loredo with the 4.0. It had >350K miles on original powertrain when I foolishly got rid of it.Ours was the 1988 Loredo with the 4.0. I wish we still had it.
Exactly. The Convoy Gladiator was the first thing I thought of when I saw the Anvil. Definitely some similarities in those front ends (design, lighting, and fenders)...I said much of the same. I loved the Convoy concept and with this variation making its way onto a Wrangler I'd bet it is for market research for the next generation.
That said, I would probably trade my JTM in for one with Convoy front end (and a Hemi!) if the numbers lined up.
I still want one of these. That front end is NICE!!Exactly. The Convoy Gladiator was the first thing I thought of when I saw the Anvil. Definitely some similarities in those front ends (design, lighting, and fenders)...

I prefer the Convoy version. It not that different but it’s closer to the old Wagoneer or M715 front end.I posed this on the JL forum, but it seems more appropriate here.

Might want to keep Rory on speed dial...The Jeep Grand Wagoneer Commander concept is a stealth‑leaning blend of full‑size premium and real off‑road function, built for drivers who want both standalone capability and the strength to tow a dedicated trail rig
It just needs to be a full-width engine bay to leave room for actually working on it and adding accessories - or just easing airflow coming through the radiator.I prefer the Convoy version. It not that different but it’s closer to the old Wagoneer or M715 front end.
I definitely like the Convoy front end better than the Anvil.Exactly. The Convoy Gladiator was the first thing I thought of when I saw the Anvil. Definitely some similarities in those front ends (design, lighting, and fenders)...

And interesting that the Anvil has a slightly different center stack with a Tesla-like protruding screen...
