Quit clowning around and give us that V8. it is probably going to be a new paint color not a drivetrain.
Maybe you guessed the next ‘duck’ it will be a new paint color called ‘V8’ 😝

JL is confirmed through 30. JT is probably, but not confirmed, the same.
Lots of time for things to happen. Hurricane would be great. Ram people love them so far.

I would bet they go the direction of every other midsize truck except the Frontier and use an inline 4 turbo; so expect the Hurricane 4.

Considering Jeep has a hard time making a relatively simple NA V6 without treating cam shafts as a consumable; I'm not sure I want a Gladiator with a Hurricane, it's massively complex for what it is. I'd be hesitant to get something like this from Toyota or Honda.

The new 2.0 hurricane seems like a sweet engine but I had a wrangler come in our shop with the standard 2.0 on 37s and aftermarket rims. Her gas mileage was 12.3 average. I thought that was awful, I would definitely wait and see real world numbers and stories for a couple years if they did end up putting the 2.0 HRCN in a gladiator. Mainly what the gas mileage would be on 35s/37s, small engines hate big tires.

You can't even think about comparing the two. Wow. And the standard 2.0 in a brick with crazy heavy 37s???
What would you expect?
Not to mention, the low mpg is often the driver. I bet I could do better with the same jeep

Do you know the gearing and how it was used city, highway or a combination. In town end up down there in the 12s with the six curious how a 2.0 with boost would do and if it would be setup to produce max numbers of HP or more towards torque like a truck or jeep needs.. The only 2.0 i have driven was with the hybrid system if they are the same it was pretty quick do not know how much was from the motor and how much the engine.

I can't verify this, but someone at Ford has access to their internal telemetrics - on paper the F-150 Ecoboost gets better MPG than the V8. However, internal numbers allegedly show zero difference in real-world MPG between the engines.

I bought a 2022 Gladiator lightly used almost two years ago. The previous owner put on what I later found out were used 35 inch MTs. I average about 12-12.5.

About 5 months ago I replaced them (they were causing death wobble) with ~33 inch KO3s. These ride infinitely quieter and smoother. That said, I get about the same MPG. I am not a lead foot, but my commute to work is less than 2 miles daily and I do remote start my vehicle in the winter to warm it up. I would love to know how you all get above 15mpg average. Are you all driving downhill everywhere?

My wife's JLU with MOPAR lift and 35s does about 17 mpg - it has under 1,000 miles on it. I expect it to only get better (and this is on winter gas)
My JTM mpg sucks - it's factory 33s and only does 17. It has almost 10,000 on it.
So what's the difference?
Oh, yeah, longer flat sides = more DRAG in the air.
