Solved it. I did mess up. I had the bracket mounted on the back 2 holes of the strap, not the front two... I was trying not to angle grind my bumper and drilled new holes higher up... looks like option one is to angle grind, re-riv-nut and mount better.... or find an alternate...

Yeah, I've found some decent looking US made ones that are hub and wheel centric, but 1.75 inches, is that aggressive? And they are in sets of 2. I assume that I need 4???
I get not wanting to use spacers, to keep the wheels / tires tucked in as much as possible. But in some cases you just want a little extra clearance. And wheel spacers can do that can do that cheaper than wheels with less backspacing.
I have run a one and a quarter inch thick wheel spacer from TeraFlex on my JKU, that should fit a JT but I might want to replace the wheel studs to match the JT studs. I have also run an inch and a half wheel spacer. Running a wheel spacer is a little risky, you have twice as many wheel studs to keep tight, and if the inner lugnuts come loose you can't easily see. But from a functionality point of view it is the same as running wheels with that much less backspacing.
You would want to run them at all four wheels the same, but that is not a law, just good sense. But it would not cause it to fail if you only ran them on the back. It might look funny, but that is up to you.

My 8100 DSA's say wheels should have a maximum back spacing of 4.5" . No OE JT/JL wheels meet that out of the box nor do AEV IIRC

That’s a good point but I’m running the AEV Salta wheels with backspacing of 5.72” without issue. BS and offset can get confusing. I think 5.72” would push the wheel out a little more that’s why I’m good.

Glad you figured it out. Yes, I’m running the AEV reservoir bracket.

Yeah... I wanted to keep my wheels mostly entirely out of being a cheapskate and just never having had opinions about how wheels look (but I do love steelies) and anxiety that I'll mess more things up, but that might be in the mix. Think spacers are worth using or stay far away from those?
I have no experience with spacers. AEV wheels for the JT have +25 offset, which would move the wheel 19mm(3/4”) further out. Use the thinnest spacer possible that will get you the clearance you need. There are plenty of threads on here discussing the negatives of moving the wheels outward if you’re interested.

5.72 is the opposite . Driving down the road is one thing flex it and you will probably see why they want LESS back spacing not more as you have at 5.72. 4.50 is less back spacing which is what Bilstein says

I don’t want to jack the OP’s thread, but my truck flexes all the time and the AEV components work very well together. My 5.72” BS and 25mm offset wheels work perfect with the AEV lift.

I hope thats true as my MOPAR slotted off-road wheels are 8.5 wide so they are correct for 12.50 tires BUT are only 5.22 BS. Mine have not been off road yet to see how they interact with the shocks yet . I want no surprises like in bent shock . My track bar is about flat with the high steer so axle side to side movement should be lees than those lifted and OE track bar mounts which helps also
