That's good to hear. I wouldn't mind a .05" lift if the coils are high quality. Are you running stock shocks or did you go aftermarket?
I originally had the Rubicon Fox shocks. The ones the TSB for bottoming out used. At nearly 70k miles they were starting to leak. So I replaced them with a set of Rancho RS7MT. For the price of the shocks I'm pretty happy so far.

The difference between the JT and JL rear suspension makes the JL ride much better. Has anyone ever fixed the JT rear bob . As I see it the JT is just a bad design.
My JL was not even close to my Mojave in ride quality on and off road.

Yeah, the Fox rebuilds aren't cheap. I'm about to install Fox coilovers on our 2015 Ram EcoDiesel. My plan is to replace the shocks at 50,000 miles with new Fox shocks, that way I can send the old ones off for a rebuild and not worry about down time. Then I'll have backup shocks ready to go.

I didn’t get a chance to replace them before I traded it in but the dealer had sets in stock but I would’ve gone with the dealer as opposed to after market just because I had an extended warranty. Shocks aren’t covered but ya know how it goes.

I blame Jeep for using weak coils. My 2023 Rubicon EcoDiesel with the red shocks has a squishy suspension and it still bottoms out in certain situations. I'm sure it's better than your factory setup, but I bet it's not leaps and bounds better. I wonder if Clayton has a higher spring rate? If so, I would go back with Fox shocks if I knew the springs could support the load better.

The Clayton 1/2" springs are supposed to be a little heavier rate. They are also just slightly longer. I measured roughly 3/4" front lift, right after install. I need to remeasure and see if it settled.
My wife's JLURD has the red shocks and it bottoms the front end worse than my JTRD did with the stock springs and fox shocks. Both Jeeps are almost identical options wise. Both had plastic bumpers.

When the wife gets home from her sister's, I need to double check and see if hers has the same front springs I took out of the Gladiator. I'll also measure the front lift on the Gladiator.

Lord I love it when people make ridiculous statements with NOTHING to back them up!!!

What‘s a JT rear “bob”?!?!?!?! I drove from NC TO AZ in my old ‘22 Overland towing a grossly overweight 5x8 uhail trailer doing north of 80 MPH quite a bit. Zero issues!

Every Jeep I’ve seen wend since my first year of production Rubicon has had better ride than the previous ones. My 26 Mojave has a better ride and handling than all four of my previous Jeeps. Hell my wife drives a $60,000 2025 SUV and when we go out she prefers we take my Jeep every time! And my Mojave eats those southwest washboard trails like nothing else out there.

My 22 JTOD rides smoother than my wife’s 24 JLU Willys, and rode better than her 18 JLU sport. We are now both lifted on 37s and use the same falcon shocks, and I feel like I need a kidney belt while driving her wrangler.

We own both. For plush rides, the JLU wins, softer multistage springs front/rear from the factory, but for stability on the highway, the JT is easier to control, extra wheelbase breaks up the concrete highway seams better, less bucking.

So you all realize this is a ridiculous subject right? Without going into details of which Jeep model year, trim model, specifics of exactly what you own and what kind of driving and condition of roads, what tires you’re running and at what pressure, what modifications you’ve made, etc. opinions on ride quality are useless never mind comparisons between even the same model are useless. My Mojave is a TOTALLY different ride than my Overland and they are both JTs so that one doesn’t even work….

No JL has multirate or multistage springs from the factory. They are all single rate. They are soft at any point in the travel though. If you were comparing like models, ie rubicon to rubicon or sport to sport, they'd ride pretty similar on road with the wheelbase being the biggest difference. Get into rougher roads and big bumps and the goofy pinion dive of the ram copied JT suspension gets jerkey. They all ride great compared to a yj or a tj or even a JK. The longer factory control arms are akin to a high quality mid arm lift on a TJ.
