When I first saw it, I thought there may be a Narco option on the build sheet.I recently upgraded from a 2021 Mojave in Sting Grey to the new 2025 MojaveX in the limited color, Fathom Pearl Blue. I recently noticed that there is an access panel in the bed of the Jeep.
I asked the sales rep about it, and he mentioned that it’s likely for an internal air compressor/inflator, similar to what the JL 392 has.
What are your thoughts on this?
For those interested in the build process of the MojaveX, you can follow my Instagram at @312overland
I might consider doing something custom for that new compartment area.

I asked at the dealership today, after seeing this - does it look familiar? It's a 2025 Ram pickup.

Hi David,@AllMoparParts.com
Do you have a part number for the mystery rectangle panel? After getting a spray-in bed liner, the tabs on that panel weren't gripping very tightly. It's now somewhere on the side of the road and I have a hole in the side of my bed.
Awesome! Thank you! I searched around for a couple of days and struggled to find this.Yes it can be found here

If you find something that fits in that area, please let me know!Awesome! Thank you! I searched around for a couple of days and struggled to find this.
I'm surprised there isn't an insert that provides some storage that can be swapped in. I couldn't find anyone that made something like that anyway.

NOTHING to do with the 4xe at all.I'd bet my left testicle that the new port on the left WAS for onboard power similar to what the F150 has in the bed. Jeep WAS goin to come out with a 4XE gladiator before political forces and market pressure changed their direction. I'd be willing to bet that the changes were already made for the bed so they just left it in place when they decided to can the 4XE.
Highly doubtful this was for charging. I have owned a Chevy cobalt and two Tesla's. A charging port inside of the bed makes less than zero sense.
RAM trucks were going to get the electric treatment as well. They cancelled their all electric RAM as well as their electric hybrid RAM. From a supply chain perspective it makes sense to only have one bed. Similar to how before this option was (Kinda) introduced, jeep only had one bed option. If you have the 110 outlet you got the outlets, if you didn't you got an empty plastic plug.NOTHING to do with the 4xe at all.
Why? Because it was in Ram trucks, too. Identical panel.
Don't worry, I suspect the pain won't last long.........
The Ford had space for such things - the JT would not, so there is that.
The below quote is from RAM's media material for what was going to be there,RAM trucks were going to get the electric treatment as well. They cancelled their all electric RAM as well as their electric hybrid RAM. From a supply chain perspective it makes sense to only have one bed. Similar to how before this option was (Kinda) introduced, jeep only had one bed option. If you have the 110 outlet you got the outlets, if you didn't you got an empty plastic plug.
Again, I would bet my left testicle that it was going to be something similar to this 4XE power option, but built into the vehicle.
The attached picture is the outlet that was going to be on the RAM REV that got cancelled. The youtube link is the power option they are doing on the JL.
Mystery solved. Case closed
