Add another 15k and that’s probably the real number.
Look in the comments section, I asked him if that included the cost of the Mojave and he confirmed $85k

For shits & giggles I drove a Moab Wrangler yesterday. It was exactly what I expected = a ridiculously Awesome halo vehicle. If Jeep builds a V8 Gladiator that's the way they will go, instead of a 5.7L that would work for so many people.

The RU sells extremely well, and a slightly lifted one will go to every State Park in my state just fine.

With room to sleep it in or carry all your crap.

THIS!!!! Is exactly where my mind went when they started with a 4wd Pacifa, I was thinking this has already been done and can't be imitated. This or a Quigley e250/350 4wd Econoline.

The Quigley is about the only thing I’d give up my Suburban for. I’ve looked at a couple but haven’t found one that fits just right. Be awesome to run one. Space for the kids and everything and flat tow the Gladiator out for base camp type runs. Not a fan of the Mercedes sprinter type vans that are out. I need the BEEF!!

I guess each month we need to remind folks why there never was, and never will be, a factory V8 in a Gladiator. Different vehicle, different use case. Even the brief EcoDiesel option was heavily derated for towing.

so if the plan is to put the V8 in the upcoming Scrambler(reports are 2 door Gladiator) why not the Gladiator...

I believe different front end on the scrambler is going to help keep the v8 within government spec range. I doubt the scrambler will be speced to tow more than 5k so that might be a reason as well.

The reason is the Scrambler, is a Wrangler. That work is already done.
Then the work is already done in the Gladiator too? The pickup bed means new classification which requires the crash testing and tow certifications and epa testing etc wether it's a JT frame or a JL or something new (most likely). From the cross member forward they are all the same. It is literally as easy as just dropping it in. The added testing and certifications required are a good enough reason not to do any of it until the new iterations of the Wrangler and Gladiator come out in the next year or 2.

Except it's not, or it would be done.
