Will RSI SmartCap fit with AEV Vertical Tire Carrier & 37" Tire

I have a 2025 Gladiator Rubicon X with the American Expedition Vehicles vertical tire carrier and a 37" BFG MT. Has anyone installed the RSI SmartCap with this setup and were there any clearance issues / modifications required?

Can't speak to your specific scenario... but in the event no one responds I am happy to take whatever measurements you need when I am near the truck again. I have the Defender on the truck in the profile pic. Might be later tonight, or (more likely) on the morrow.

Not sure on the RSI but the OVS sit just slightly taller than the cab of the Gladiator so should have no problem fitting. If I remember right the RSI is even with the cab.

IDK why AEV does that when a 37 will fit under the bed. It looks cool, but I’d rather have the tire out of the way.

Well without checking the measurement inside for the height it looked like yours was low enough but perhaps if 38s are in the future you might have a problem, get a measurement from high rib on floor top of tire.
I took a photo in the dark ,the RSI cap hangs over the inside of the bed about 1/2”, hard to tell from your picture but looks like a pipe frame or something is there, guess spacers under the bolts could solve that. Anyway it’s what I got in the dark tonight!….Jack

Agree. I can’t imaging pulling that tire out on a trail when need it, with likely bunch of craps in front of it to removes too.

Hi all. I finally had time to take some measurements and better pictures. The tire mount is attached to the Mopar Trail Rail system so it sits ~1.5" out from the front edge of the bed. It extends ~20.5" vertically above the edge of the bed which is below cab height by ~1.5" or so.

Hi Jason–

Here is a diagram showing the dimensions of our EVO series SmartCap. The height of the cap from the bedrail to the top of the cap is 550mm (appx. 21.6").
