The sky is not falling. It's called progress and compromise and EVERY culture and civilization goes through it. No one can freeze time. There will always be a sub group that will fight it, and that subgroup will die in time and be replaced by another fringe percentage of the population battling progress in he future. It all means nothing in the big scheme of things, but it makes for some entertaining posts.

Then there are those that believe ether was a good aesthetic when you had to have surgery...

Yeah I've heard that a million times, and yet the definition of essential liberty is as ethereal as cigarette smoke. Is driving drunk an essential liberty? Should people with dementia be allowed t drive. There is a good middle ground but unfortunately folks on both edges of the debate will never admit there is.

In any case all are free to keep fighting their fight with slogans and memes. Let's see if any of this, including this thread, can stop the tide but I wouldn't bet on that.

My previous post I was very explicit that the sky is NOT falling. And I don't agree with you or anyone else in this thread, in general I don't care much for uninformed opinions driven by feelings, slogans and memes. I actually I was just trying to give some reality based insight to anyone else reading this post that is interested in facts.

Spoke to a buddy at the CIA (retired) that has the best answer yet. The "government" has had access to EVERYTHING you do and say for decades. it has MASSIVE amounts of data and capabilities on everyone in the country, including the ones that THINK they are off-grid.

So the issue is not what they have or what they can do, that ship has long ago sailed. It is WHY would they be interested in YOU? And the trick is NOT to do something that will get their eyeballs fixated on you.

Yup, they just have too much data to sort through. It's as if they need tons & tons more computing power to organize the info. I wonder how they could accomplish this?
