Thats exactly what I plan to do with my mower . Im so cheep I may just use some blue board with firewood to hold it down in the wind.

Well, don't worry . . . if it's an old Troybilt mower, your solution will be just fine . They're like Timex watches - take a licking and keep on ticking ! .
I Won't have the Garage "problem" . . . not allowed to alter the Apartment Complex garage ! . So wether it's a JT or JL in my future . . . the Hardtop won't be coming off to be stored in the garage ! Not EASILY anyway . gonna need the help of the 2 Maintenance guys, if I do . That leaves me with, ugh, needing to get the 2 top option, $$$, and that probably won't happen . The Very Few Times I would get the urge (keep it clean guys), just wouldn't make the effort worth the cost. Side note; the other issue being, if I end up with a JL - I'm gonna be very tempted to add the new Ursa Minor pop-up tent ! At $$$$, and an additional ~10" in height . . . it won't fit under the garage door ! ?? . Hmm, maybe it's time I consider a move to a foreclosure & add a canvas-garage/canopy ! Ugh, another for sure !

Geez, the lengths you guys will all go to just for a hardtop. First you pay $2k extra, then you rebuild your garages, hit on your in-laws, and run out of steam after you get the urge!

All you need to do is pocket the $$ and get the soft-top.

I often carry around $20k + in photo gear. If I have a photo buddy you can double that. No soft top for me.

I often carry around $20k + in photo gear. If I have a photo buddy you can double that. No soft top for me.

Now that's something I would immediately REDACT ! Some things are better left unadvertised . . . .

Well $40,00 doesent go far with photo gear. One guy could grab it with a bit of effort.

One thing I've always liked about my Scrambler is that I can remove the top by myself. But it's not quite as easy now as it was when I was younger, which is why I will pick up the JT with the easily removeable Freedom Panels. The rear portion of the Gladiator top seems to be similar in size to the Scrambler, though significantly wider. The Scrambler hardtop also fit perfectly in the bed.

I'm extremely disappointed with the enormous length of the Gladiator. Come on now, guys, how many of us Jeep fanatics are actually going to carry motorcycles in the bed, or 4x8 sheets of plywood, with the gate half-way down? Sure, it might look good in a Jeep marketing photo op for your fantasy dreams, but in the harsh realities of the real world (that we all live in), maybe 1 in 1,000 Jeep owners, if even that, are actually going to do this. I sure hope FCA comes to their senses, and offers a short 3.5 to 4-foot short bed, so the car stays at a reasonable length for driving to work and parking and navigating around the malls. Truth be told, admit it, the lion's share majority of us use our Jeeps primarily as daily commuters and weekend mall crawlers. Very few Jeep buyers are going to spend the realistic $75k+ for a fully loaded and tricked out to the max 2021 Gladiator Rubi diesel (including all costs, like sales tax, EFW, licensing, delivery, et al), and then take your beautiful new car out into the boondocks so it gets badly damaged, all scratched-up, and terribly dented, maybe even rolled over onto its roof and totaled-out, whilst navigating gigantic boulders. Let’s get real here, peeps.
