I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn't at least give myself the opportunity to test drive the truck. Especially on the highway and through Lowes parking lot--- and a mall or two.

I like your thinking but that would delay ones ability to order by at least a month probably. If someone can just go drive a JL, how much different can it really be? I already drive a midsize/small truck so its not like I am unfamiliar with the size aspect of it I guess. I probably won't wait, even though I should. I just want a new rig dammitI would be doing myself a disservice if I didn't at least give myself the opportunity to test drive the truck. I agree. I’d like to drive it first but don’t want to wait a month and then have a big backlog of orders. I drive a ram 1500 for work so I’m used to the truck size. I should probably test drive a JL as well. I haven’t seen a JT in person though. Wasn’t able to make any car shows. That’s the only thing that has me worried.I like your thinking but that would delay ones ability to order by at least a month probably. I agree. I have seen it in person, but it was an overland...so not as much of a looker as a Rubicon of course. I think a lot of the people who are bashing it (not on this forum) will change their minds when they see it in person. Stock wheels and tires on the sport/s will probably look kind of lame if the vehicle is sitting next to a truck with bigger and beedier ones, but that's my only visual gripe at this point.I agree. I’m leaning towards a sport s at the moment. May have to upgrade wheels and tires.I agree. I have seen it in person, but it was an overland...so not as much of a looker as a Rubicon of course. NO, but you can easily enough remove that your self. The other option - I hope sooner than later - will be BedRug Replacement "Carpeting," which fulfills your requirements as well !Can I order mine with no carpet so I can LineX the inside floor so when it rains or the river leaks in it will just drain out and not be damp or get musty/moldy?
Thoughts?

Absolutely not! After all, you will be in a Jeep...Hope ya'll don't think any less of me![]()
I vote Yes, jeep plywood award for not even knowing you are a Jeep person. Welcome to the lunacy.I've never driven a pickup truck before. The closest thing to a truck I've driven was a deuce and a half couple of times while on deployment. Not to mention the Mrs has never seen one either. And um...never owned a Jeep before and couldn't help you find where the Rubicon trail is located on a map w/o googling--- which even now, I couldn't care less about looking up--- and I am perfectly content with picking up an Overland trim. Will prob. even grab me a Moab JL in the future, if JT turns out as great as I hope. 0 plans now or in the future of rock-whatever-you-call-it and if anything will be used to drive through well-beaten paths around national parks with things in tow. Hope ya'll don't think any less of me![]()
Who's going to pick it up for you if you're still not in the US? Does it rhyme with Geffen1111?No test drive of the JK, JL or JT. I'm sure they all drive better than my current CJ-7. My previous TJ drove just fine with 33's, though everyone else thought the it drove horribly. I'm gonna go full send on the JTR! I still won't be able to see one in person until I return to the US sometime this fall, but I will have my order in ASAP, once I find the right dealer to order it from.
haha, nope! When it's ready, I will quit my job!! There isn't enough time in a day to work and be with my new JT!! Unless I can work remotely from the parking lot.Who's going to pick it up for you if you're still not in the US? Does it rhyme with Geffen1111?
Order from Travis, and i'll fly there and drive it to your US house for free. =) You get your jeep for cheap, delivered, and I get to test out a JT on a road trip before I buy one.
