On price increases. It is certainly possible for next year, however I’m of the mind that a mid model year increase is unlikely for a few reasons.

For one, the overall economy and auto industry sales are softening. I know that some are looking at the price increases in the JL but those were caused by rising material prices due to the new tarrifs on Steel and Aluminum. I don’t see those tarrifs rising any further this year.

Looks like $35k - $62k is the range, which is a little above what we had hoped for but not terribly so. Definitely priced higher than the competitors. Just curious to hear if any of you are deterred by the price and are going to hold off now?
I’ve got some sticker shock on the Launch edition but still hoping I can get a Rubicon nearly fully loaded for $50k after the FCA discount.
Yes, went to local dealer in NE FL dealer said cannot order because all his Gladiators are allocated for his current Jeep customers. Went to 2 other dealers , 1 wanted to charge a premium and the other had no clue. Sent my order to Travis at Tri City. Will buying from him. Sport S loaded up. Need the max towing 7650lbs for boat.

Ya, South Florida, same thing.
1st place: sticker, plus $995.00 dealer fee
2nd place: NO DAYUM IDEA, plus $995.00 dealer fee
I'll be dealing with Travis also.

I am in, I am afraid they will start raising the MSRP as the year progresses.
I'm curious on this as well. What's the track record for midsize truck price increases over the past few years? It seems like everything is jumping in price. This reason alone pushes me to get a first year production

All his gladiators are allocated? Maybe his dealer stock coming in? But that’s weird that they’d say they can’t order...

The sales person was super nice. Repeated what his sales manager said. Did not even offer to place an order. Talking to dealers I get the impression they want to charge way over MSRP like the Ford Raptor. Asked how I knew pricing. Had no clue. He said he had no answers, just could not order and all spoken for. This dealer is one of the biggest in USA.

I believe it's been pointed out in one of the many videos - probably TFL's - that in reality if you compare like models from the various makers you'll find the difference to be Right About the $1K mark ! NOT bad, considering all the Advantages the Gladiator has over all the others in the Off Road Department, modern tech. and best in class rear seating . . . ! PLUS, a pleasant surprise to us all was the Relatively Small uptick in price vs. a comparable JLU -- $2000, to be exact; not the $2500 to $3500 most were guessing (including me) . I think most of us (peons) have that $62K shock too, but I've never been one to step outside my "ball park" to catch a foul ball ! Makes no sense, to me .

edit; Sunday - so YEA, I'm definitely still in . . . but the in includes JLU too ! Gotta SEE & DRIVE the JT to be sure ! I KNOW I like the JLU . . . just a question of how much more I may like the JT to justify the price increases ! ?

edit; news flash April 1st (NOT a Fools Day) -- On our build & Price Thread . . . Posted My build and compared it to as similar a build of a JLU and the pricing will "ASTONISH YOU" ! happy Happy, Joy Joy !

Sounds like a bunch of BS to me. Sales-people rarely put in the effort to keep up with product rumors and reviews...but they put A LOT of effort into maximizing sales and profits. The dealers can not put in ANY orders before April 4, which is just the launch edition. Sometime after that (April 5, maybe....but who knows?) the general order banks will open. Individual customer orders are handled independently of Dealer allocation, but in most cases are given some amount of priority over general allocation.

I think that specific salesman simply wanted to give you the impression that you will need to pay more...he’s trying to sucker you. He can’t sell you a Gladiator until he can order you one, so why waste time that could be spent making money on a sale to someone else.

I’m in 100%. Going to dealer to find out as much as I can on the Launch Edition and if it has all that I want (Cold weather for sure here in NE Wisconsin) ie loaded Rubicon then I’m in for the special edition. If not the I will process my regular order. Tomorrow we make that decision!

Am I still on board? I don't know. The sport with max tow, cold weather, hardtop is $41k and that puts it right on top of any full size truck on the market. Heck, I built a very nice F-250 Supercab 4x4 for $42k online. So we'll just have to see how the Gladiator feels in person...

Crap, if this is the case I may have to just go full size. May as well go for a ram rebel or trail boss.
