110 MILE PER HOUR Vehicle max Speed Calibration

If I have missed this please forgive me BUT has anyone here gotten their Jeep up to this speed?
Why?
You sat in the corner a lot when you were a kid!

Wasn't there just a thread about the Rubicon with Falken M/T tires being limited to 91 MPH?

Large offroad tires have low speed ratings. I guess the speed limiter varies based upon which tire the Jeep comes equipped with.

Highest speed limit in Illinois is 70 on rural expressways which are nowhere near me. Speed limit near me is 55-60 on the expressway. I don't need a vehicle to go any faster than 70. I rarely drive that fast unless I go to Wisconsin.

Here in Texas our highest speed limit is 85mph and I have had my JKU with 35's (BFG KO2's) up to the low 90's without much of an issue.

My Rubicon build sheet said mine was calibrated to 97(whoop!) mph!! Falken MT's here.

If you look on page 14 of the order guide 110 mph (JJ3) is only avail on Sport and Overland, so apparently all JTRs are 97mph (JJ2) max (ir)regardless of tire selection

...not that it matters as 90 is fast enough in a Jeep

Actually that's not fair if you're driving 70-80, it's the Illinoisans doing 85-90 weaving in and out of traffic to get 200 feet closer to their destination that are FISH.

Car manufacturers have been limiting top end vehicle speed based on tire ratings for the last 25 years.
