You really thought they didn't know what that noise was? Maybe you should watch the video again.
Well, to be fair I only watched some of it, all I kept hearing was, "hear that, what is that" perhaps they were being sarcastic but that is how I took it.

"let us know in the comments what you think"

I think there is a fascination with being on "TV"...it stemmed from the launch of TV, manifested with signboard idiots at the today show, accelerated with reality TV like Big Brother and Survivor and now has reached a peak with the millennial generation and yearning for hits and likes across multiple social media platforms like a bunch of crack craving attention whores.

that's what I think...

*end rant* LOL

Prodigy turbo is a hugely dishonest company. I had a three day argument with them on the JL side about the dyne charts they post and show in their videos. Look at every single dyne chart you have ever seen and the T and HP will cross at 5252 RPM. Because of the math there is no way to avoid that fact given the HP formula. HP=(T x RPM)/5252. Third grade math though us that at 5252 the RPM and constant would cancel leaving just HP=T. But not a single dyne chart that I have ever seen them publish demonstrates this.

The first 5 minutes were obvious product endorsements in an attempt to raise money for an engine replacement since it will not be replaced under Jeep warranty. One can only assume they contacted Prodigy first and were told to pound pavement so now they are trying to get someone else to pay for it. The proliferation of "influencer lifestylists" are seriously beginning to rub me the wrong way. So many of them actually think they are too important to get a job, pay for their own toys, and be a contributing member of society like the rest of us. It is as though they genuinely believe they are providing a valuable service to us mere mortals. I enjoy following certian (groups XO as an example) but as someone pointed out...Lite (not so) Brite is really annoying...

So just for shits, what did they do about the 11.3:1 compression ratio that comes stock with the 3.6? You don’t just slam Moar Air! and Moar Fuel! in to make Moar Powah! without accounting for the greatly increased volume. At least not by my manuals.

I wonder, could massive preignition have lead to bearing failures? Shocking

Why yes, yes it could.

So...is the JL 3.6 and the JK 3.6 different motors with just the same displacement?

Light Brite's last video was how they snapped teeth of their ring gear. Here's a pro tip - if you wheel hard, don't use your daily driver. These guys beat the snots out of their rig. You're going to have breakage.

Another thing I have noted at Easter Jeep Safari; it's really common to see rigs with aftermarket turbo/super chargers have problems. People with their hoods lifted almost always seem to be in that club. The tunes always seem to go out. One of my house mates had one and every morning we got up early to make sure it was working.

But its sweet when it works

My plan is to use my Gladiator to pull a TJ or old JK that I can beat the snots out of

Solid statement here.

I’m just a country boy with a bit of college edumacation, not ane engine builder.... but,
I always heard it referred to as pre-detonation not just “detonation” as they kept saying in the video. After all, my four-stroke won’t work without detonation.

Before you put yourself forward as some kind of subject matter expert in front of the entire YouTube universe, know your topic or at least when to STFU. You monkeyed with your own tune. Prodigy be good or bad, you opted to futz with it your own self. I don’t believe I heard a single, “coulda been my own tinkering what pushed it over the limit.”

Life is a constant learning endeavor. Pause a moment when things go wrong and consider your own possible culpability.

Pre-detonation leads to “detonation” of the motor for sure.

The problem with some in the aftermarket, selling "instant HP gratification", is they're just not big enough to support the damage they cause or worse, not truthful.

When I believed the "forums", way back in 2006, about how easy and safe it was to add a supercharger to my 300c, I learned a $15k lesson. GS Motorsports in So. Cal. They sold a bunch of SC's to a lot of LX 5.7 and 6.1 hemis. Even got the trades to write them up --> https://www.hotrod.com/articles/mops-050057-gs-motorsports-hemi-paxton-blower/ <--

What ended up happening is a group of us on the 300c forum filed a class-action lawsuit and put them out of business.

The motor should be the same, I pulled my static compression ratio from the listed specs on the JT

Honestly it doesn't much matter which engine, if it's not designed to work with turbocharging you are inviting issues. The 11.3:1CR is possible because of the knock sensor playing crazy games with ignition timing but can it react fast enough and retard far enough to account for Moar Powah!? Trying to compress fire never really works well for engines, leading to all sorts of problems from flame gouged pistons as Sorbs discusses to valves failing and real irregular vibrations which murders bearings.

The JL turbo is only 10:1

Couldn't agree more. They beat the hell out of that rig on their EC tour. Also, they should just know better in regards to turbos having come from the import scene. I agree that I think it was a setup for their "show" as they plan to make the next logical steps in building this rig. I don't think you have to go much farther than their flippant attitude towards the breakages as proof of it all being for their "show."

P.S. I don't mean "show" in a negative way, I think its incredible people are able to create and monetize content on social media.
