It's all part of the conspiracy theory. Facebook is down and there's no further proof that a manual JT exists in the wild.

Just got off Jeep chat. This is what Randy just told me:

upload_2019-7-3_9-48-58.webp

My order is also Granite and I asked about delays with that color, Randy repeated it was the m/t and that there are no issues with the color.
i was just told it is still steel bumpers if you have a rubicon, unless that is just there fall back response

I do have a Rubicon, but plastic front. Maybe its the rear bumpers. All I know is Jeep Chat said its the manual tranny that is the hold up. Based on what I have read here I think its the color.

i would be waiting on the steel rear bumper, the front was not even a order-able option at the time of my order.

LMAO. Jeep really needs to get their stories synced. Is it the M/T? Granite? steel bumpers? Why can't we get a consistent answer from the Jeep reps???

Just FYI everyone, you might want to keep this conversation about manual transmissions private. I don't think people who only drive automatics get it. I was telling people at work about how much i love tranny's and there is nothing like grabbing the stick and going for a wild ride and they just all looked at me weird. I was even asked if I was married. Probably because they think women don't like to drive a manual transmission. Such bias. It makes me sad to think about how future generations won't know the pleasure of stalling at a stoplight because you got distracted by the girl in the car next to you looking at your your stick and then you miscalculate the proper ratio of stick to clutch when the light turns green.

Overland M/T's are now in transit to dealers.

Hello all! Long-time first-time. I had done several hours of research here in the forum ahead of this purchase and was real worried the whole time with the MT option and word of it being delayed. I placed my order May 9th and got the canned "8-12 weeks" answer from my dealer and the FCA chat was hit and miss for helpfulness through the duration. In fact my dealer quoted an estimated ship date of June 27th back in early June, then FCA chat told me the 24th there was no way it would even be started by then but to check the 28th. I was out of town the whole weekend so got on the chats Monday morning and was astonished to hear it was actually delivered the 29th!?

Anyways here it is and I am so glad I went MT. The pedal pressure is pretty soft but can tell it's there (mostly), the quiet engine takes a bit of getting used to with rev matching and take-offs, and the start/stop only works when under the 3mph with no gas pr clutch pedal being applied. It also doesn't help w the Alpine (not Pioneer like I had in my head for some reason) I have the tunes up to loud and half rely on the tach and just natural feel to know when to shift.

You do have to let the revs get fairly high before shifting if you want to feel the stable full of horses under the hood. The last stick vehicle I drove some years ago was semi and straight trucks so was used to shifting at lower RPMs so Ill have to get back into letting her sing then grab more. I feel 6th gear is not real useful as it will likely only be used for flat highways with tailwinds ha. 5th and 6th are very close to the same range it feels like so far so not sure how much I'll be between those. I bought this to haul my 2 dirtbikes or occasionally the ADV bike and not boats or oversized loads so should be fine.

now the good part... the pics. I snapped the interior ones just now coming back from lunch and can try other angles if need be but you get the jist of it. The top has the 6 speed pattern and the red ring has to be raised to even begin towards Reverse.

Sorry, here are the exterior shots that people weren't seeing from my Facebook post. The premium soft top was the only option as most know and I also got the storage bag to keep that window as nice as possible as long as possible. It opens real easily and the panels and bolsters all pop out real quick. I THINK I have them in correctly but may take a time or two to learn the easiest way. The instructions that came with on a separate insert are good there, but the ones printed on the storage bag leave much room for improvement. FCA if you're looking for better tech manuals, call my people as that's what I/we do.

Agreed but just glad to have it with me and can close in an instant. I looked at possibly taking that off if it were a nice week/weekend and knew I wouldn't need it at all, but with the handful of mounting points Id be slightly worried about getting it aligned just right after. I'm sure there is a way, but I am a noob to the Jeep lyfe so would want to see whats out there for tips and tricks and make sure I had a plan before removing. Even if only marking the exact location of the mounts before removing. For me it's not the worst thing in the world the way it looks and comes with the convenience. I will say though that if you worry the whole way home from picking it up about whether or not it will clear the garage door while open, turn the music down and try not to worry about stalling it if your garage approach is on a slope. Long story short...it fit in mine but I wasn't even paying attention. That could have been devastating after the century long wait to get it.
