Hmm I am confused, I thought I posted this, but I can't find it. This is more a brain dump than a coherent pro/con list.

Two weeks ago, I spoke with both Exploration Outfitters, that distributes PCOR, and Mainline Overland, they distribute Norweld here in the US.

First off, both are first rate companies. Super willing to answer questions and friendly.

There are already examples of PCOR on Gladiators, but none yet of the Norweld canopies.

PCOR looks more polished, especially with the black, and also they do have a lot more options. However, they are also more expensive - probably on the order of $10k+ if you go all out.

My personal choice was Norweld. I like the simplicity of it. But, not as many options.

One note - either have a good wait. You'd have to put a deposit down/pay, and then wait for a few months to get it from Australia. But if you are really interested, of course, reach out to the respective suppliers here in the US and get all the details.

I'm passing on the Norweld for a Nuthouse Industries rack, I can't fully commit to replacing the bed right now.
Nice bit of researching, I really like PCOR but I can't commit to it on my LE either. Hopefully I can get a Gator Diesel Rubi in 20 months and then put the PCOR on it cuz I feel like that will be a dedicated vehicle. You can't use that for anything else once all that goes in LOL

Nuthouse rack looks really good, I am sure you will feel at home ;). I think I am going to wait on the rack and give it a bit more time to see what other fabrications/builds come up from different companies. I would like to see a proper drawer solution that would be helpful for tailgating at football games etc...

I just feel like if you do the PCOR canopy it should be done on a Diesel... But again, this is just my personal opinion. I would like to get this PCOR on a Gator Diesel Rubi :)
ultimately on a diesel yes but if you can afford $26K, you can afford to buy a gas rubi now, then get a diesel rubi later and swap the pcor over to the new diesel.

So, the PCOR is easily swappable? I thought it was a pretty serious installation no?

My bad, didn't mean to sound like it was easy, but it's an option, especially if you've got money to pay somebody else to do it.

@BuiltRight,....... Competition
I like this installation so far - the right height and looks like they have a plan to accommodate a lot. So far for me, I just look at all the other installations it looks somewhat amateurish where the lines of the rack don't really flow with the rest of the Gladiator and looks like they are kinda tacked on ...

JCR has been making them for a while for the overlanding crowd under the Victory brand, generally Toyotas (but now expanded).

You can see the various sizes / heights they employ for different mission profiles on the existing products to get a broad sense of where they are likely going.

I was referring to the bed panels, not the rack. Any bed panels that were around before 2017 definitely wouldn't be an issue!

That full height bed rack looks awesome though, I know that's what a lot of the guys here seem to want. I dig it.

What is your patent number? I suppose someone should cross reference that to make sure there is no infringement risk.
