I got my Gladiator for 4wd (I'm a nurse and can't call in), towing and being a convertible. Not saying it will stay on the road all the time, just not what it was bought for. So I'm staying pretty stock and don't plan on mods, but I hated the stock Sport S aluminum rims but was able to pick up a set of the factory black rims with brushed aluminum pentastar from the Rubicon and they make me happy.

Picked mine up today, I’ll post pics on the JTR when I hopefully get it next week. Bought extra rings to paint a different color and I’ll be getting black bolts or painting the gold ones

That’s what I was thinking, just love getting it verified. Thanks so much....in a little bit shouldn’t be an issue, as winter tires tend to be a little narrower- I shouldn’t have any rubbing issues. (well, except for the flimsy wheel well liners )

I had a tech. at the dealer yesterday, was putting in a lost pop rivet in my mudflaps, saw him pushing on the inner fender, noting how flimsy it was, I said it was issue that was brought up on this forum often. Was even causing problems for folks putting bigger tires on because it would suck in. He didn't really have much of a response just that look of, what can I say, I only work on them.

I haven't ordered mine yet, as it won't be avaiable in Europe until next year, however I was thinking Gobi or Gator.
For Gator, any of the black wheels would look great I think, but Gobi color with the wheel from the middle would be a killer combo

I love these wheels! One question though. Have you or anyone heard any negative reviews on the top photo wheel? I noticed that it is a solid wheel with no holes/slats which help cool the brake rotors. I was wondering if this affects brake performance when in 4 low, traversing down steep grades for long periods of time where brake usage is prevalent. Thanks, great looking wheels.

AEV Borahs in onyx w/ machined face. There were so many good options but we ultimately decided on these because we liked the versatility/options of a plain wheel, protection ring or full beadlock on the same wheel.

Good point. I haven't heard anything negative if you use them in an off-road environment. Actually there are many examples of true offroaders like old Defenders and Toyotas with steel wheels with no brake issues.
Regarding brake cooling, I would be more worried if you are planning to use the Gladiator in a race track...
