What ATV do you have? My kids has the Polaris RZR 170 and it fits in the back like a glove. Anything bigger will cause issues. Also I’m looking at either adding airbags or installing heavy duty springs as the ATV causes major sagging issues at 750lbs. I’m not sure what it’s going to look like at max payload lol
Take a look at Timbrens.

The Rubicon has a max payload of around 1150. I would say with a 750 lb ATV, a tank of fuel and 2-3 occupants, you are at max payload.

WhT I find disrespectful is the fact that the price to add LEDs doesn’t fall if you get the blind spot package that already has LED taillights. $1000 just for round headlights and blinkers is too much, considering the savings in the alternatives being absent

If I'm not mistaken, the active safety group drops from $995 to $895 if you have the LED package. Seems silly that only $100 is knocked off for the tail lights, but there is some savings.

Granted, my source is the spreadsheet included in one of the sticky threads of the ordering/pricing section that hasn't been updated since May.

I have decided to just say screw it and go with the JT Rubicon. I am just overthinking everything and worrying about little crap.

I don't really want to order one and wait 2 months, however I know that I will not find one on the lot with my short list of must haves. I am willing to buy one with more options if they are really worth it just to keep from waiting longer.

I want black hard top, tow package, automatic, and body color fenders. What options do you all have that you think is worth it or just couldn't live without? I know everyone will have something different, but it may help me look at things differently and come around to your way of thinking.
My rubicon is loaded

I have had my JTR for 1 week now...ordered it 5/6...so plenty of time to internally debate my option choices. my assessment of my choices.

OPTIONS I GOT and whether I would order again after having them.
* Dual tops = YES. love soft top for summer, hard top for winter.
* LED lights = YES. incredibly bright, light up the whole road at night
* Blind spot, cross traffic = YES
* Black plastic fenders = YES. i got white so I like the contrast with black roofs
* Leather (tan) = COULD GO EITHER WAY. I have always had leather, but with roof off, they get hot. the quality is decent and the tan is a nice contrast to all of the black.
* Proximity locks = YES. I did not have at first, but added two days later when I realized I have not hit my keyfob button in 6 years, why would I want to start now.
* Bed Rails, locking seat storage, bed outlet = 50/50. bed rails are basically useless other than rare instance of tying something down, underseat storage boxes are awesome, outlet in bed might get used 10 times in its life.
* Tonneau = NOT SURE YET. folds back nicely, better than hard tonneau, time will tell how well fabric ages
* Aux switches = YES. will need them
* Heated seats, wheel, auto start = YES. heated seats and no roof are awesome in fall weather in PA. starting your car from the office in winter when its 10 degrees outside...worth it.
* Upgrade stereo / screen size = YES. while the Alpine system does not match the Harmon Kardon in my wife's BMW M series, it is pretty close. especially with soft top or roof folded/off you will need better sound.
* Bed Liner = YES. but could probably get same/better quality aftermarket...just no hassle for me to arrange and drop off.

DID NOT GET
* TRAIL CAM . probably will regret one day.
* Adaptive cruise / braking - never used cruise on other vehicles, would not use now. probably could justify for only advanced braking, but I did not add.
Did you add proximity locks at the dealer??...or did you order it that way?....my dealer said no way...once i realized it was an option.

What's so good about the 8.4 anyways?
I planned on using a cheap iPad or similar for nav stuff and I would maybe use nav 1-2 times a year at that.
My opinion on this one as an owner of the standard 7.0”. I just picked mine up yesterday and have been fine with the screen size and standard speakers. BUT, I hooked up my phone today for Apple CarPlay to get some tunes and my Google Maps for a 30 mile trip on unfamiliar roads. The CarPlay must have a different aspect ratio or something, but it doesn’t fill the screen. Maybe 75% is filled in. There is some dead area and the bottom section for the app buttons. My map went from an expected 7” to probably about a 5”. It certainly gets the job done, but it wasn’t what I expected. I have a 2019 Equinox as a company car with a 7” screen. Its CarPlay is significantly larger than that of the JT’s. I may end up replacing mine. That’s really my only complaint with the vehicle other than the dead spot on center for the steering.

Added about a week after ordering. But I also waited 4 months for mine. So it was not on the fast track build line if you know what I mean.

This is a question that you are going to get multiple different answers on. I agree that the LED, AUX, proximity are all options you want. If you live in a cold climate then cold weather package/ remote start. Th 8.4 screen was a must have for me (with upgraded Alpine), as well as the blind spot, and the cargo group with trail system. In the end it's generally cheaper to order with it then try to add it later, not to mention it's all covered on warranty and makes for better re-sale.

Be aware that the remote start from your office will come at a sizable premium when your initial,Guardian subscription runs out......to the tune of $20 per month......I no longer have remote start from my office using the app.....

I keep getting offers for $12.99/mo. Still too pricey for me since I have only ever used it once when I was in my trial period.

Have not had that offer...they did just send me a survey asking why I did not renew.......I told them that I did not appreciate them stealing money from me just to remote start my vehicle, while I am able to do that for free with my Ford truck and GMC Yukon.....

Yes I know there are a few more “perks” such as roadside and sos, etc......I have AAA and that takes care of most of my needs and actually for real world stuff AAA serves me better.
