Remove protective plastics, set the tire pressure back to where it belongs, there are likely things that aren't installed but are inside the vehicle - at least that's how it used to be. They used to have to connect some electrical things disconnected for safety in shipping - can't say if they do that any longer. Check all fluids, other things........... It's also likely dirty from shipping -they detailed mine because of that.
Some items that could be lost or damaged are put in place by the dealer. Slush mats, perhaps.......
So how do you like your new ride??

Love it but getting used to a couple of things - need to get some accessory for putting my sunglasses in - and when my wife is with me so she can stash her cell phone in some place like the Chevy had - a fair sized tray ahead of the cup holders. Good place for pen, pencil, her phone, my sunglasses, etc. - so will have to look around for that sort of thing.
And I think there's a problem with the roll-up tonneau cover - it doesn't lay down on the left side - it sticks straight out, you could see into the box if you look under it while the right side lays down nicely. Wind will catch it.
Otherwise, runs and drives great, fun to drive, fun to look at, love the color.
Apparently I have a lot to learn about the cluster area - and I know I saw something about the proximity unlock or something - apparently something I thought I ordered but didn't - I will have to see - maybe that was Sport or Rubicon only or something. My wife even commented "oh, good, you walk up to it and pull the handle and it unlocks". Nope - you must pull that 5 pound fob out and push a button, also must press a button to lock. I guess we THOUGHT we were getting the same lock setup as her Grand Cherokee has - but must have not ordered that. I know I saw proximity locks.
Otherwise, it's a nice riding vehicle - takes our potholes better than anything else we have or have had, goes down the road nice - yeah, its a little more noisy than anything else we have had but then - it's a Jeep with a removable top! I did not find it annoying at all. Got used to that really fast because honestly it's not all that bad.
I am now looking for excuses to drive it. I even volunteered to go to the store for my wife - I think she knew why LOL
If that tonneau cover sticking out is the worst thing I find - I'm gonna be totally thrilled.
Man will it GO.

That’s good news! For the storage issue I saw an insert that snaps into the passenger side grab handle on the dash and creates a tray you could lay a cell phone in.
Here’s a link to one of them but there are many more.

What color did you get?
I'm looking into little accessories like that to give me a spot to put small things. I do miss that area ahead of the cup holders on the Chevy - perfect for sunglasses, a pen/pencil and a few coins or a cell phone (and my wife's nail file and stuff like that)

I like that color too.
I used to have a YJ Wrangler Renegade that was highly criticized because Jeep switched to rectangular headlights and added a kink in the grille.
I got my first deer with it after years of hunting and never took one with a rifle, I finally got one using the grille on my Jeep. He was a 6 point. I filed dressed him, threw him over the hood and took him into town to be processed. Cost $6/lb Which included insurance deductible.

Now that's funny - the price per pound including the deductible.
A fried of mine used to use his Eagle SX4 to commute to work. He was driving home late one after noon and ended up hitting three (3) deer.
One wiped out the left fender, the other went sailing over the roof and the third went under the SX4 and ripped his exhaust off. Luckily those cars being 4x4 sit high
I went with him to where an old guy had hundreds of cars and trucks parked in a grassy field and we found a little kammback Eagle sitting rusting away but it had a really good fender, grill and hood for him. I ended up getting a few spare parts there myself.
I called him deer slayer for years after that. Then of course I hit one with mine and nearly tore the right fender off. Took almost a year to find another rust-free fender but I had all the other stuff I needed on hand. Tossed Bambi's aunt deer 50 feet across the ditch into someone's yard - right hind leg pointing up............

Track your JT Gladiator Wrangler by window sticker and build sheet lookup! Credit goes to sister-site JLWF moderator Yakpimp for this great tool.

How to use: Click “TRACK NEW” below and enter your info. Once your window sticker or build sheet becomes available, you'll receive an email with a link to view it! The other options are all pretty self-explanatory so feel free to play around and see all the cool info and stats!

I wonder if this is no longer refreshing? This info hasn't changed for several days now.

quick question. I did an online chat with Jeep today and was able to get the info that I am in D1 status for four days. First, how long is typical/average for D1 status? and is there another way to get the order status than going to Jeep live chat everyday?

Well you can call and annoy your dealer every day.
I didn't figure a DAILY update was worth the heartburn so I only checked every so often.
Unless it didn't move for days, it would eventually arrive and nothing could be done about it in most cases.
Seems to me that D1 can be a few days or more. Once you get the build sheet if it sits for days and days - then there is something to wonder about. But "in the system, build date set, ready, aim........." isn't a big deal I wouldn't think. Once they say "fire" then it's a bigger deal.

Typical D1 status is 12 days. Could be more or less. Your sales person can look up the same info and tell you. Checking everyday is agonizing (I know) and the entire process takes 3-4 weeks currently and sometimes longer. Some things effect build time. Spray-In Bedliner is done by an outside supplier and adds delivery time. I found this out the hard way BUT I didn't have to take it into a shop to have it done. 6 of one, half dozen..... Then there is the logistics of transporting it from the factory to your dealer. Is it by rail, car hauler, paddle boat? The tranport services don't deliver each vehicle one by one, they need to fill the rail cars, trailers, etc. and plan the routes they take so they might have to wait until there is a full load before they take off.
AND....... what ShadowsPapa said, he beat me to it. LOL

Anyone show "Special Scheduling Condition VII" near the end of their build sheet? What is THAT?

Yup, and dunno.
I'm wondering after some of the things I've seen here if anyone has a line that says "Difficult Order" instead of what I show.

I am pretty sure all custom orders get that statement and is to reflect priority in building over regular dealer stock orders.
