This is some positive news. Has any attempted this course of action?
Given that TSB does not apply to JL's built past December 28th, 2018 and retail JT production did not start until April 2019, more than a good probability any changes in that JL TSB are already rolled into the JT.

Unless they add the JT effectivity to that TSB with a new revision, people will be pissing up a rope trying to get a dealer to flash it to their JT anyways.

It doesn’t hurt to point out to the tech that there is an existing TSB for the same problem on the JL so he knows he isn’t fooling anyone with the song and dance.

hey everyone. im new to the forum and i just purchased a gladiator overland about a month ago. i noticed i have the same A/C problem as some of the people on this thread. if i set my A/C to LO it blows out ice cold air and if i put it on HI its blazing hot but there is no in between. as soon as i set it up one degree from LO which is 60, its blowing hot hot air. ive tried the AUTO A/C, all the different blower setting and nothing seems to fix it. i printed out that that TSB for the JL and took it to my dealership and told them this is what is whats happening and they said they cant go off that because it was for a JL and its not the same.... they tried to do the system reset and update it to the most current version but they informed me my gladiator was already updated and they couldn't update it again. ive called jeep cares and notified them about this and im taking it back in tomorrow and there going to try and look deeper into the problem and possibly open a Chrysler star case on it. my step dad has the lunch edition gladiator and his is doing the same thing. it seems like a lot of people are having this issue and if anyone knows a solution or how there gladiator was fixed please let me know. if i find out anything from the dealership with progress i will post it.

Hi guys, got my Overland for about a months. I have the same issue about the AC temperature like everybody here. I don’t have time to bring mine to the dealer yet, however, I just PM Jeepcare to let them know about my issue. If more and more people bring up the same problem, I’m sure they care ignore us anymore.

I contacted JEEPCARES, and they only offered to locate the nearest dealership. And could not secure a loaner vehicle when my vehicle was to be delivered for diagnostics and repair.

hey everyone. I dropped the gladiator off yesterday and informed them that this is an ongoing issue with a lot of people and told them about this thread on this forum. They informed me they were going to open a Star case on it and just start with that. Once the technician comes out and documents the issues (and hopefully fixes it) it will be logged onto Jeeps maintenance system so when you guys bring your gladiators in with the same problem they will be able to search and see this case and technicians notes and what he did to fix it. This is what they told me at the dealership. I hope this helps and when they give me more info I will post it. Also I noticed yesterday after my 2hr drove to the dealership... around 1hr and 45 mins the A/C started to kinda of work right. Idk if anyone else has had this experience or not.

The more I think about this, the more sense it makes that it does this. The heating system is setting the ambient cabin temperature to the temp you select. In situations where the cabin is below 60, it has to heat the air to reach that temp. ā€œLowā€ just likely blows the coldest air the system can achieve regardless of the cabin temperature.
This is my take on it as well. If it's 45° outside and I set the Jeep to 67°, I'm convinced that it is sending out hot air to bring it to the "desired" cabin temperature. After driving for a bit, the air coming out of the vents is more of what I would expect at the temperature.

That said, it is not what I expect when I jump in and set the temperature and I don't like it. I'm convinced that it is more the consumers not liking the "feature" but the Jeep is acting as designed. Our 2015 Grand Cherokee did the same thing. Before we took delivery of our JT my wife said "I hope the Gladiator doesn't do the same climate thing as the Grand Cherokee."

Alex, it appears that many, including myself have messaged you directly only to get the same response of bring to the local dealership. Looks like we have been to no success. So, how many "cases" does it take to have the "well know issue" properly looked into by some one who actually knows what they are doing? ..basically, move this up the corporate ladder already! LOL

so i thought the same thing. kind of like the way the A/C works in a house. its only going to blow out the desired air temp to bring the inside down or up based on what you put the A/C at. not to disrespect jeep or anything but thats kinda of stupid design if they did make it like that. i grew up with jeeps and ive never had an A/C issue like this. im in a brand new grand Cherokee right now that they loaned me and it doesn't do that. my uncle and cousin have a brand new sport and Rubicon wrangler as well and his A/C doesn't seem to have this issue either, and our A/C system looks practically the same. i live in Oregon and they live in FL. My step dad who has the Rubicon gladiator that i mentioned in a previous post also lives in FL and he's having the same issue i am.

Hi teneck83,
If you would like to PM us, we can get a case escalated for you to connect you with a Case Specialist to work with throughout your dealer visit. As dealers own their loaners, they do set the processes and procedures surrounding them. However, as a member of Jeep Wave, you are eligible for first-day rental reimbursement.

Hi Greg,
I have passed this information along to the appropriate parties. A larger volume of cases provides more information, such as diagnostics from the dealer, so that this can be looked into further.

I’m in Florida where it’s still 80° outside and it’s doing the same for me. I can assure you it’s not a matter of the air being warmer than ambient/outside temperature. When I set mine above LO, it blows hot air, even when it’s hot outside.

I can say, I picked my Gladiator up about 3 weeks ago and mine is doing the same thing - set at 60 and it gets hot to where I need to set it to LO or open a window....something is way off. I’m planning to record with thermal temp. I actually came home the other night and mention it to the wife....found this post and do feel better it’s not just me.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know I haven’t forgotten to update you guys. I called the dealership today to get an update and I guess the technician has been looking at it trying to figure out what the problem is. My service rep wasn’t able to give me much because the tech hadn’t came back with any solutions yet.... I’m sure we have all herd that before. long story short they don’t know what’s causing it. I was informed that as soon as they find out they are going to call. The service manager and I have been communicating threw his personal number. So I would like to believe they are trying to take this serious. I read a few new post about people having issues with the dealership not doing anything for you. As much as I love my gladiator and would recommend it to anyone (even with this issue). If the dealership isn’t willing to help you after numerous attempts to fix it, just remember you are entitled to the lemon law depending on the statue of the state your in. Once again, when I hear an update you guys will be the first to know.
