I agree with you all. You all have made me realize that part of ownership is turning wrenches. I, of all people should know that. Before my Gladiator, I had a Ram with 9" of lift and 38" tires at one point. Did all of the work myself. Since the age of 16, I've owned and/or built everything from lowriders, lowriders with hydraulics, cars and trucks that we've raced, mud trucks, and car/engine combos that shouldn't have been done (Hahaha). And from just about every manufacturer. And half of the fun on all of those rides was turning the wrenches to get it there! I should have analyzed my thoughts a little more!

With that being said, time to order more stuff to install on my Gladiator!

My thought, whatever makes you happy, do it... Planning, wrenching, driving, staring.

I’ve never seen a group with so much judgement on what other people should be doing with THEIR vehicle (not directed at the OP, I understand the spirit of what you are saying). It’s just this consistent pattern across posts with that theme.

"to each their own unless its not our taste, then we'll judge you"

put 50 inch tires on 16s and you're good and get likes but dont get 20s on 33s because then your taste is awful.

Wait...you can actually DRIVE THIS THING???

I’m one of those who, for the last 4 months, has been adding mod after mod, with my neighbors probably wondering when I would actually use it. Last weekend I finally had the key elements together that allowed me to take her out and play, and it was awesome. Can I do that all the time? No. But as others have said, some of the fun is building something; that passes the time until I can use it again.

Tinkering rules.

Well, I have done a great deal of driving or using my Gladiator. Between my wife and I, we have 3 vehicles. One sedan for her and two Jeeps for me. Since buying the Gladiator, I drive it most of the time. I hunted 4 or 5 days a week for 6 weeks in November and December. I did not post any pictures. I have had a truck in addition to a SUV for over 20 years. So I use it as a truck hauling things too but no pictures. I have added phone holders, storage gizmos, seat covers, tool box, lights, floor mats, smaller antenna etc... I have posted about a lot of the the little addons. I guess the point of all the rambling is that I think the number of post about using verse modifying them isn't a good indicator what we like the most. I enjoy tinkering with cars but driving the Gladiator is where the smiles are bigger. I enjoy reading about all the different accessories and lifts et'al on this forum. Lot of GREAT info here! I even enjoy the discussions about my lift is better that your lift. "It is all good!" Therefore, I will continue to personalize my gladiator and drive it as much as I can.

Building a model toy is more fun to some people than buying a pre made toy. Gladiator and wrangler our big model trucks that we get to build and play with and make our own that’s the whole point. If you want a cookie cutter vehicle that you can’t do anything to like say the new Blazer there’s plenty of those available. Buy it off the lot don’t touch it and blend in. Jeeps are a blank canvas.

your pipes don't make your ears bleed.....you're a sissy!
i'm full of interesting side stories today....once in High School they had a Harley driving road trooper talk about loud harleys then he fired up his Harley on stage in our auditorium.....quiet as a church mouse....I hate loud Harleys, done with soap box now....

Umm I am working on mine at this moment. LOL! To be fair it is my primary DD.

Hey, I understand. Mine is my daily driver too! If i'm wrenching, I have to get it done in enough time to drive to work. Lol

Hey, I wasn't judging. I actually came back and agreed with everyone because you have to turn those wrenches in order to be able to turn the wheels. So, I understand the relationship between modding and enjoying!

But on another note, I used to get eaten alive in the Ram forum for just about everything. Way more judgemental than in here. It was brutal!

Oh no, I understood the spirit of your intent and what you said. To the others point, it’s the internet right :). I think I was a little grumpy :). That means I need to hop in my truck and put a smile back on my face :)
