Couple tips if you don’t mind, it’s suggested to remove the tire and of course I’m smarter than anyone, if you don’t believe me just ask me. I didn’t do that but wish I would have as I do believe it would have been easier. Also it takes a lot of finagling, tightening and loosening to get all the bolts started/lined up which is why I think removing the tire (like they suggest) makes it easier. Good luck and please reply back on how it drives
Definitely take the tire off, but no need to take the sway bar down like the instructions say... Plenty of space.
For me a the holes lined up perfectly
Honestly the install was about 15-20 minutes. Super easy

I installed the brace and it eliminated the wobble that was periodically occurring. It was a fairly easy install and I agree that the sway bar links dont need to be disconnected but the tire does need to be removed. I am pleased overall with the steering after replacing the stabilizer and adding this brace but am pretty disappointed that it took $400 of my dollars to get it to drive normally...this should be addressed by the factory but I am not certain it ever will. I had to deal with the lifter/head issue on my 2014 JKU and they eventually repaired it but not without a huge fight.

I was going to get the teraflex adjustable stabilizer too but decided to wait and see what the brace did alone. I'm satisfied and don't feel that I need the stabilizer now.

For me, the stabilizer helped reduce the wander and the brace helped with the wobble that I would get when I hit certain spots on the road.

How many of you have this installed and has it made a difference? I don't have a problem with my steering being loose but there is a lot of wandering especially with gusts of wind. The wandering doesn't seem normal to me as I have owned plenty of Jeep Wranglers and CJs in the past and haven't experienced this. I just want to know if this brace helps with this or just the loose steering. Thank you in advance for any information.
Murray in this video you can see the steering box moving off the frame and how after the brace is installed it doesn’t move. Night and day difference.

Hey, I had seen that when you originally posted it, but am curious- Did you check that bolt to see if it was tight? Mine steers well, but I am always aware of this issue and want to be able to solve it if it happens. Thanks.

Which bolt are you referring to? All of the bolts were tight on the original steering set up.

Mine steered "well" too, I didn't have the slop that many do. However I didnt realize just how badly affected it was by bumps and what not until after i installed the brace.
And after seeing these videos this is something I would put in preemptively, out of concern of metal fatigue around the box. May be over thinking but peace of mind...

Great video! just like you, my steering is not bad. When I give the steering wheel input there is no lag or dead spots, the wheels are turning immediately. My issue is with the wandering and not being able to hold a straight line while driving. I have heard that this sector shaft brace will fix that and that is what I am hoping because I ordered one. Thank you for the videos and keep up the good work.

If there was play between the steering box and the frame, were the bolts loose?
It's not play BETWEEN them, the frame flexes from the force of the steering acting thru the box and bolts. The brace stiffens up the area and distributes the load better

Seeing that video makes me wonder if the frame is not sleeved where the steering gearbox bolts on. This has been a problem in the past on many other vehicle's

Hopefully someone will check it out when they install the bracket and post it on here.
