I am so glad I bought my manual when I did (Sept 30, off the lot). I would have never even considered another automatic, especially in a Jeep. I tried to order a Gladiator from the local dealer in Gobi and they called back after a couple of hours to tell me they couldn’t order manuals for some reason and didn’t know when they would be able to. The only MT they had was a totally decked out Rubi. I went on line and found exactly what I wanted in Sting Gray at a GREAT dealer about 200 miles away (Barnett in Winchester, TN). Made the deal over the phone, picked it up the next day. In and out in 20 minutes. Great experience. Love the 6 speed Gladiator Sport S.
i think I was extremely close to buying that one! I had a deal worked out with them for a trade for my mustang convertible, but someone finally came through on a private sale so I ordered my hydro blue through a dealer much closer to home.

A couple months in, I honestly have zero regrets with the 8AT.
One of the reasons I chose the manual was because of the need to regear and the shift points - with larger wheels.
Thanks for the thoughts. Spent some time last night seriously considering the auto but still want a manual. It's not about it being better or the gearing - but about the experience/engagement when I'm driving as well as having a vehicle to teach my kids how to drive a manual. So I'll be waiting for the one I ordered or search for an in-stock Sting Gray in the area that's had the recall performed on it.

I have owned mine since early February and have yet to receive any recall letter in the mail. However on my Uconnect it says I have it

I ordered mine March 15 through the regular dealer order system. VIN assigned March 31.
You can order them now, if your dealership doesn’t realize this have them double check as they are being accepted.

Just got called that they got the parts and are going to fix the clutch on a manual gladiator rubicon that was sitting on the lot. I did the paperwork and will be buying it next week.

Would be interesting to know what parts are involved in the fix. Let us know if you find out.

Yeah, also got a call this morning that the dealer was doing the recall on the manuals they had on the lot and we could do the deal today. But since I've placed my order on a Sting Gray that I got to spec as I want, I'm going to wait.

The last article I read about the warranty work was that the fuel line near the transmission was going to be relocated. That was it.

That will hardly keep the pressure plate from grenading and stranding you on the side of the road.... but maybe prevent the bonfire...
