Fellow Gladiator owners,

I’m new to the Jeep life and just moved to Alaska, I purchased a Gladiator sport S (With max tow) for the occasion. I plan to do an overland build, here’s where I need your help. I was originally going to do 35’s with a basic lift for Fuel efficiency since this will be a daily driver however... 37’s are the new 35. Having a sport s what mods will I need to do to rock 37’s?

Based on what I’ve seen online I will need to regear the Dana 44 (4.10), a lift and also swap fenders however I have seen sports with the stock fender and not the Rubi fender. Your input is greatly appreciated. Sorry In advance if this post is in the wrong spot.

If you have a Max Tow package, then you should have 4.10 gears, and not 3.73 gears...

No need to swap fenders. You may want to either remove or trim the air dams between the fender and bumper, though.

You will need a small offset in rims like 12MM or you will have some rub at full lock.

If you put 37 inch tires you need to recalibrate your speedometer it makes a big difference when you recalibrate your speedometer it takes in to account for your new tire size I just put 37’s on my gladiator rubicon and I recalibrated my speedometer and man what a difference in the shift points you will be up to 70 miles per hour in just a second I bought the rough country recalibrate programmer and it’s worth the 139 dollars

37s on my Max tow. Rubicon factory springs and shocks, 2.5" spacer in the front and .75" in the rear just to level the truck. Stock fenders, stock 4.10 gearing, stock JK wheels and a Tazer Mini for the shift points/speedo. The only rub I get is full lock while flexing big, no rubbing at all on the pavement.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I will probably swap the front bumper first.

there are steering stops that you can add a few washers to stop any full lock rub on the control arms if you're trying to stay tight on the positive offset...i need 4 washers drivers side and 5 washers passenger side to run 37's on a non max tow/rubicon with stock wheels, also need 12 mm wheel spacers (coyote 1/2" diecast wheel spacers) to give me a bit more offset and mimick the offset the rubicons/max tow's already start with, there's a reason the mopar wheels are 5.2" backspace

you may find the 2" mopar lift is only one part number for all gladiators so the payload should be there and then some, i can attest that the ride quality of my sport s went down with the mopar, most notably on the front, quite a bit stiffer on the front to the point i removed the front sway and love it, i run stock sport s front bumper, no additional weight

are the rear springs in the mopar lift progressive and similarly rated like the Max Tow are?
I find it odd that Jeep doesnt post what payload becomes with their lift kit

Is your spare tire a 37 as well and is it mounted underneath?
