Going for a drive after dinner. Letting it stretch in the sun for a few hours. Was usually top down all summer in my JK. I expect the gladiator will be the same, but I only have 70 miles on it having picked it up yesterday. May take it off completely most of the time, but like it so far.
Nice! Yeah I am thinking I won't put my on. I just can't get past the overhang behind the rear seats when the rear window is out. On my past 4 Jeeps I usually pull the hard top off and just keep the bikini top on hand in case of rain.

Bestop claimed to have the bikini coming out in early June. I've since checked back and gotten no reply on an ask for updates. Thinking it may have gotten pushed back :(

This thing looks awesome. I wonder if it's legal in New York to put a 35" in the same spot. Probably way too big.
Everything will be illegal in NY soon but there will be no police to enforce anything anyways. Just your friendly community-led public safty officers. Good luck with that life:CWL:

Finally installed my Quadratec '41 rims and K02s. Tried to keep the stock look but toughen it up a bit.

Also finished modifying my KBVoodoo Crossbars with a rack to slide on a cooler or strap anything else down. Plan to mount a Deny Locks base adaptor on there for locking down coolers or using the ir attachment to attach a chain to lock the bikes. Happy with how everything turned out.

Great choice in wheels and tires... 315 70's?

Are these stock OEM rail caps universal to alot of bed mods? For some reason I thought it was just for the OEM soft cover.

Ooooh, not sure you realize this but you said "public safety" and "officers" and both of those are micro-aggressions. We'll need you to go into a safe space and put yourself into time out while someone says nice things to you to help reform you.

Finally put on the Squadron Sports rigged for Aux 3 and gave it its first bath. Good thick coat of wax, even in the bed. All ready for a drive. Too bad I wasn't allowed to drive it.

No stuck with 285/70 K02s. Kept reading conflicting info on the need to regear if I went to a larger tire or lose 8th gear. Nearly went for the C rated 34 inch Toyo Open Country ATIIIs but decided not to take a chance on it. The wider rims and offset makes them appear wider and pushes them out from the wheel well the perfect amount for me. Happy with my decision. I was all over the board on this LOL. Always a possibility I lift it a couple of inches and put 35s or 37s on it in the future with a regear but I’m content for now. I’m the one in the family that has to load bikes on top of the crossbars so I need to keep it as low as I can :)

Over the weekend, swapped the plastic Rubi bumper for a steel one with the correct skid. Installed a Warn winch plate and Warn Evo 10S winch with Factor 55 flatlink and Warn low bumper/winch guard. Took me a couple of days to get it all tied in, but plenty of help from reading forum posts here on the topic of the right skid and hardware to switch out the plastic for the steel Mopar bumper. Had to elongate the back two holes on the skid, but was expected.

I'm very happy with the results. Next up lift , wheels/tires, extra lighting.........the list continues to grow! Now I have to figure out what to do with this big paperweight (plastic Rubi bumper) in the garage. Still has the LED fogs and wiring in it.

The info and knowledge shared on this forum gave me plenty of ammunition to attack this project.

Spent the day putting in the:
2” Mopar Lift and Steering Stabilizer. Then finished it off by throwing on the 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers on Mopar 17" Bead Lock Wheels.
Oh, also adjusted the computer with the Tazer Mini to account for the tire upgrade.

Ready for the trails now!

What steering stabilizer did you go with? Did it make it a better ride?
