5 days into owning my 6MT Manual Sport S and need to go bigger tires and lift. Searching for forum for anyone with experience with 35s or 37s with the 3.73 gears. I really want 37x17 and I plan to re-gear eventually, so my question is more "short term". Thoughts on tire size???

Per alot of people on the forums 37s with 373 gears and 6 speed equals bogged down and crappy going up hills. And some people with 410 gears say it's alot better. If you dig through the forums there's alot of info on here

Im probably 6 months away from going 37s with my Manual Rubi. My gut says it will be ok but 6th gear will be tough to use. I’ll eventually regear to 5.13

Manual sport. I already swapped to 4.88. 35”x11” tires. Swapped in rubicon springs and a .5” puck in the front to level out a bit. I’m running 2400rpm at 70mph which is what I wanted.

Hello really been interested in that setup..
I currently have a Rubicon Manual and thinking 4.88 with 35's would be perfect for what I do with my JT. Curious do you still take off mostly in first or do you use 2nd ?
My setup with 33's and 4.10 I sometimes take off in 2nd depending on situation.
Keep thinking with 1st being so short it would be great if I could utilize it primarily for a crawling gear and have 2nd become my new 1st for daily use. Wondering if the 4.88 combo facilitates that ?
Thanks
Dan

I ended up going 5.13 gears with 37s. Seems like the sweet spot.
