Nice rig, going down a very similar path myself. Now I just need the locals near me to realize a take off suspension with 5k miles isn't worth $500. The waiting game begins

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If people in your area are paying $500, then that's going to be the going-rate in your area. You can probably hit up eBay and see if you can get one for cheap.

I've see 3 sets come and go in the last 60 days at $2-300 and they sat out there for a week or two before getting picked up. Only one guy has one posted local right now and wants $500. Another will come around for sure.

Sounds like next time you see one pop up that cheap, you gotta be johnny-on-the-spot and go hit up the ATM machine on your lunch break. I do the same thing with guns locally, and with high-end Shimano reels on eBay. If you see one you want for a price you can't refuse....Gotta act quick, or someone else gets the deal of the century...And I don't like to lose. ;)

The worst feeling was seeing a complete set, IN THE CRATE the Mopar 2" ships in that had only ever seen the distance from the delivery truck to the dealers shop to swap over sit for a week while I debated if it was worth it. Listed for $200, still shiny with all the tags on it.

This randomly popped up in a similar thread thing. Doing this swap 5 yrs ago was the best thing I ever did to my overland. I ended up swapping thr springs over shortly after and it was another nice surprise. It still rides good, but the handling, towing and hailing is considerably better and more stable with less lean. I don’t understand how it still rides so well with the stiffest springs available. There are different spring rates within the rubicon trim. Mine are off an LE and the highest rate available. 60k miles and a lot of towing and hauling later and I’m still very satisfied. It didn’t sag at all after putting a winch and bumpers on it. It actually rides better. These are the springs I used. The model numbers are important. The higher the number, the stiffer the spring.
