Added a Kicker HS8 subwoofer to complement the factory premium sub. Well worth the investment and really help add what was missing in base from the rear.

Below is a picture of the final location of the sub and the write up (post #62) if anyone is thinking about getting more base.

So far, replaced 6 of the 9 Alpine 8.4 Premium speakers and added the extra sub to now make a total of 10 speakers.

Upgrade List:
Top Dash: Infinity 3.5” REF3022cfx
Dash Knees: Metra-1014 pods and Focal RCX 165 6.5”
SB: 3.5” JL Audio C2-350x
Sub: Added extra Kicker HS8 Hideaway

Sadly wrote my Florida Law final demand letter to FCA to repair my CEL and ESS warning related to engine misfires after three prior repair attempts failed.

Installed the first set of mods:
  • Mopar grab handles
  • Tazer Mini
  • Racing Optics windshield film
  • M.O.R.E. dead pedal
  • Stubby antenna
  • Mopar winch guard hoop
  • Rusty's Offroad winch mounting plate
  • Smittybilt X2O winch w/ synthetic rope
The X2O fits with the mopar steel bumper on rusty's plate, but it was a PITA to install. Firstly, the control box can't be mounted on the side position, the bumper won't go back on, so only in the center above the drum. I'm not the most excited about that as the brackets they give you don't feel very robust to me. It is a VERY tight fit, and the cables do touch the grill a bit. Getting the winch plate in was much easier with a 2nd person, but in my case the holes on the driver side didn't align perfectly upfront, so I had to dremel them out quite a bit.

This is more "what did you do FOR your Gladiator today"..........
When I take the freedom panels out while at home, especially if we are going somewhere and will be returning and don't feel the need to have the panels with us, I bag them up and stand the bag on the garage floor next to the wall. But the floor gets dirty, I don't like having to carry or even drag the bag over there (it's heavy with both panels in it) and wanted to find an easier way to hold the bag up while putting the panels in or taking them out.
And where I stow them in the garage is under a shelf - not a lot of space.
Hmmmmm, Maybe I could make a stand for the bag with panels to keep it off the floor, help hold it upright.
The cost was nothing at all - I have a 5 gallon bucket loaded with all sorts of casters, large and small, some new in the package, some used. Scraps of lumber - I have a little of everything from oak to pine to cedar to whatever.
It's quickly thrown together, I had no plan, I just started cutting and putting it together and making it up as I went. If I were to do it again I'd be more accurate with the cuts, too - it's not perfect, but it works.

The bag with panels barely fit under the shelf as it was - so I couldn't raise it up must higher - I think I had just over an inch to spare, so it's really low profile, if there's a rock on the floor it's going to drag. I guess I just have to sweep the floor more often.
And I didn't want it to fall over, but couldn't make it have a wider footprint or I'd be tripping over it.
(I can do accurate work, just didn't this time. I have made decent raised panel doors, and wall-to-wall fabric shelving in oak for my wife's fabric stash)
This is all scrap, recycled oak I ran through the planer, etc.

Post up the letter. How bad did you bash there response in handling your issues?

Good luck with getting thing taken care of. I had a 2012 JK that leakes very bad every time it rained. After many attempts to fix it and no luck FCA tried to charge me for the miles I put on the jeep before they got me a new one and wanted to charge me all kinds of fees. I called lemon law layer and they got me a new jeep for free. I didn't even have to pay legal fees. Just $400 for the upgrade in the different engines from 2011-2012.

Not as fancy as a lot of the mods I’ve seen, but I’m just as proud. Today I had the stock wheels and tires taken off and replaced with XD 9X18 wheels and 265/65 R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Yes they are on stock rims, and yea, thats probably why they rub a bit. If it becomes a problem I'll change it. But for now, for my wallets sake, it'll stay the way it is.
...or just add spacers?

What does that bead lock do exactly?
Allows for airing the tires down a lot more for offroading.
