Nope, Crypto reads the Jeep build sheet and window sticker databases and they just report when a build sheet is found because it actualy entered assembly and sticker when it has completed. And those databases are for historical reference so they are not real time and can be delayed one to three days, or once in a while never show them.

There is a Guide for the build process in the sticky part of the Ordering forum that will give you more detail.

I get it now, I was thinking I would see it slowly progress through, being patient for three months is a bit of time. Thanks!....Jack
Mine sat in D1 status for months (Covid shutdown). D1 doesn't mean much - only that it is somewhere in the queue to be built.

Once assembly starts, it only take as few hours.

Unless you sit 25 days in inspection or two weeks in JB like some have.

What are you looking for on the Crypto tracker? You ordered a 2021 and they haven't started building the 2021s is my understanding.
I actually just spoke with a representative an hour or two ago on the customer service chat and asked if they had begun production on 2021 rubicons, and she stated, “I know we have started 2021 models” when I asked if it was first come, first serve on assembly. So there’s some good news I reckon!

Over on JL I analyzed Crypto data 24 hours per day to give a quick response on the forum of all builds FOUND and sticker FOUND in each run. Now that my job has started I am not available to do it but another member is doing it until September. Over there Crypto has hundreds of open orders and a lot of left over garbage orders from 2018, 2019 and 2020. JT side should be easier.

Maybe someone on this forum would want to do that to keep everyone up to date of buikds, stickers and ordered dates. Be glad to pass on Crypto processes if there is a volunteer.

Sounds like the only thing we know for certain is that one of our customer service reps is wrong then haha. Damn, I was hoping I had a little comfort to cling to lol

You could call the factory receptionist and ask them to run out onto the floor and see if they are building 2020s or 2021s. Bet you get a different answer compared to Jeep Chat.

I don't see any 2021 builds FOUND on Crypto. If they started Monday there should be some. JL 2021s started Monday and there have been about 20 build FOUND starting yesterday.

Haha I can’t tell if you’re being serious with that idea. I gotta say, I like the idea regardless but don’t exactly know how I’d come by the receptionist’s line

Well, no matter what we do we can’t speed it up! My salesman sort of confirmed what jeep chat told me yesterday. He “heard” that production will begin next week. My original build date was today, 8/13. Last week it was bumped to 8/18. As of yesterday, it’s 8/21. Not going the right direction, but I do have a cool salesman that checks on it almost every day and keeps me updated on changes whether they’re good or bad.

Man, I haven’t been able to get a projected build date to save my life. I ordered on July 1 and Jeep accepted the order on July 2, but no one has given me anything close to a build date. My dealer is cool too, and checks every time I ask, but I don’t want to be a major pain in the ass so I only ask maybe once each week. When did you order yours?

I ordered 7/8. Had a VIN and first est. build date 3 days later. But I also knew it was surely an ESTIMATE.

A lot of JL 2021 orders were given a date a week before the date originally given by Jeep for the start of build but they all kept getting pushed back and production started on the date originally projected. But some are still getting pushed back for their dates. Nature of the beast.

Well I just had an extremely odd and somewhat uncomfortable telephone interaction with someone at the Jeep plant. I was given the phone number by plant security (bc I chose the wrong number off google) that gave me someone at “a desk phone” who acted like I was asking for extremely sensitive information. They told me they hadn’t started 2021s yet and when I asked if they had any projected start date for the 2021 gladiators there was a long pause followed by “...who is this?” I politely replied “I’m just a customer who placed an order for a 2021 gladiator” and they said that they weren’t able to provide confidential information. I told them I was very sorry, that I didn’t realize it was even a “confidential topic,” I wasn’t trying to get anyone in trouble and was just trying to gauge the wait time and they hung up a few seconds later. Very odd.
