I did get the Diesel and I am trying to get myself ready for the delays that occured with the JL Diesel. It is odd to have a scheduled production start date in four days but no EPA figures have been confirmed or released on the mileage.

Yea that’s insaaaane to me you got your build date that fast. I’ve been sitting in D1 for 23 days as of today’s chat with Jeep customer service (and still no confirmation of the build starting on any specific upcoming day). They’ve told me “average of 30 days” most times when I’ve spoken with them, so I guess it’ll probably begin next week sometime but the customer service rep I spoke with today said they could only get further details from the factory if it went beyond the normal 30 days.

The JL delays were not once they started building them, but when they started building them. We waited for months for them to start after they took our orders, but once they started building them there weren’t many delays. I had mine a week after it was built. I ordered a diesel gladiator Rubicon and was D1 a week after I ordered it, which was not the case with my JL Rubicon. So i do not think you’ll see nearly the issues we had earlier this year. Unless something gets held up in inspection, I expect the biggest issue is going to be shipping delays.

Crypto only shows when a build sheet has been created when it is on the assembly line. Sticker after it is done.

In reality there is no clock ticking until they start 2021 production because they can't do anything until then. I've never heard of a firm build start date from Jeep Chat or dealer, it is an estimated date and usually gets pushed out some once they start. Example, JL started building on August 10 with order start on June 5. There are people with July orders built but orders from June 5th not started yet.

No one on the JL forum has stated their diesel entering build yet. No one at Jeep, Jeep Chat or dealers seem to know the official reason. Same for manuals.

The first 2021 JL from a forum member just shipped a day or two ago. Most others have been put in storage. Unofficial reasons names are lack of transport, won't ship until all 2020s have shipped and at least one of those has been in inspection for more than 3 weeks. And some 2020s haven't made it to the dealer though finished build three weeks ago.

As I say in my Guide in the sticky section the only thing you have control over is patience. And that fewer JTs are built than JLs so they will probably go faster.

Not sure what you mean but few of us have firm build date. What is estimated.is an estimated ship date. Mine is 9/2 received from a dealer who is quite reputed on this forum.

damn, lucky if that's true though! I ordered mine on July 1, and i'm still in D-1. All the parts have been confirmed as arrived, but no build begun.

Confirmed by Jeep chat this morning. My 21 Mojave has been built.
