I have a Gladiator and it does it every time. Slowed down the pump and it still spit back a little.

I can hear when it’s getting near full and cut the flow back to 1/2. I also Found that waiting for 10 seconds to remove the nozzle (as it instructs on the sticker on the fuel filler door) does help - I then tap the nozzle a couple times and don’t get any drips on the side of the JeepAnyone else had this issue? When I fill up my gladiator with fuel, it gets to the end and when nozzle goes to kick out gas overflows out of filler hole, has done it multiple times at different stations around town. Wondering if anyone else had this issue may try slowing it down some closer to end to see if that fixes my issue. Not sure if anyone else has seen this, thanks
That should not be happening, mine doesn't do it and it doesn't matter where or how I fill it. Bring it in and make them look at it.Update ran at fast notch stopped waited then put on slow notch for last couple gallons kicked off and burped fuel.... then I tried a full fill up on slowest notch still kicked out and burped fuel all over
Yeah I may have to....That should not be happening, mine doesn't do it and it doesn't matter where or how I fill it. Bring it in and make them look at it.
Damn well hopefully I get some better luck, Jeep cares is involved and I have scheduled to take it to local dealer Thursday.... hopefully something will come of it.... if not I’ll have to do some roofing flap like someone else has done on this thread or the other threadGood luck with that. I had them look at it and was told:
1. I have never heard of any Jeep having this problem.
2. After checking with another service technician, they decided to check the evap canister.
3. That tested fine, nothing else to see here folks.
I told them, "So I just have to deal with this?" Then I read what was written on the bottom of the service sheet..."Advise customer to go to another gas station".
Gee...if only I was as smart as those mechanics. I NEVER would have thought to try that. I was not happy...in fact I was LIVID. The service advisor quickly said that he did not write that.
I got my two free oil changes from this dealership - I am done with them,
Slow fill won’t even work for me... felt like I’ve tried a lot of things...so far no luckThere is a lot of "write ups" on the fix for TJ/LJ fuel burping fix. I have met one of the people who did one of first write up U-tube videos on it. But after so many years of it I can hear when it's about to do it. I've not had it yet with my JT, but I've yet to fill past 18 gal of gas too. When I do fill up at about 10 gal I move it to slow fill (first click) of gas pump. Out of habit from LJ. The things you can get use to, not enough leg room for me in MJ, but plenty in XJ almost. Fuel burping in LJ. Twitchy steering or lag in steering, my XJ I wouldn't let anyone else drive due to how it steers... Flat out twichy / light steering for someone who doesn't know how it drove and turning ratio.
Definitely time to get it checked out by service tech, you have already been to the dealership with this if I remember correctly. If so I'd change from who you took it to before. Someone might have tried to siphon your gas out and messed up the vent line / evap can line or something like that.Slow fill won’t even work for me... felt like I’ve tried a lot of things...so far no luck
I hadn’t been to the dealership yet, first visit is Thursday, I also checked everything I could underneath but did not see anything messed up as some one said a dealer found a vent hose unplugged But we will see what comes of this visitDefinitely time to get it checked out by service tech, you have already been to the dealership with this if I remember correctly.
