Mopar Trailer Brake Controller for Jeep Gladiator Officially Released (Part # 82215652AB)

2019 JL Rubicon with Tow package. Mopar says controller will fit my vehicle. Part on order.

Do you have an existing 7-way plug on the back, next to the 4-way? I just couldn't find that, doesn't mean it doesn't exist but you should check.

well its a little late now i tried to order form dealer a month ago and they stated not available till feb 2021 . so i purchased a curt spectrum brake controller with the gladiator plug from home depot . it was plug and play . mounted dial right beside the start button beside the wheel . great location out of the way and highly visible and still have my power outlet .

yes i have both the 7 way and 4 way plugs on the left side of the hitch but to tow the gooseneck or 5th wheel trailer the 7 way plug has to go over the tailgate to plug in so i wanted the in bed plug . i search for a option for a gladiator no one makes one just for gladiator .but most any from 2000 up will fit since 2000 or so the 7 way plugs just unplug in the back to run a inbed 7 way plug this one work out fine but it was still about 2 feet too long so i wire tied it up works great

Spoke to the dealership I ordered mine from. He hadn't received it yet. So he called someone and got back to me. He told me it was released yesterday and he should have it next week. He told me that he was supposed to be getting a memo updating the date of delivery.
We will see what happens.

I had no problem ordering it when I did, Benny provided a code to get the free shipping, and he has a post right now about it, and also includes the instructions, I have to say it is pretty nice, everything incuded including brackets to mount in factory location, and there is also instructions if you don't have one of the tow packages . Benny was saying pretty quick turn around, so I'll know in perhaps 7-11 days, or by Febuary 2021. You should check out the instructions....Jack

I saw that as well. Based on that and the fact it plugs into the same plug as the aftermarket controllers, it definitely isn’t going to have any type of integration or dash display like the Rams do. This appears to be a Redarc/Curt style controller with a more factory control knob, as well as a mounting bracket for the control box that goes under the dash.

Also I see the 12V plug gets taped off. One thing I can’t tell is if there will be a backlight or not. From the design it doesn’t look like it, which I was hoping for. It’s the only knock I have on my current Redarc setup. I may end up switching to the Mopar control, mostly because I need to buy a second Redarc setup for my wife’s Durango, so I think I’m going to get Mopar for my truck and move the Redarc over to her truck.
