Lol...trust me it’s gonna happen one way or the other at some point. Really I just need to make some adapters that are recessed into the sound bar mounting hole area, allowing a larger fastening area to hold the outter diameter size of the 8.8’s. Just taking a break from that section for a while.
The next thing I really need to do it finally install the inner fenders front and rear. Gonna be a pain in the ass though. I have to do that so that the rock lights can then go in.
Google “shadow reaper rock lights” and see what you think. Stupid bright !
As most of us on here would admit, too much to do. not enough time to get through them all as quickly as we’d like.

Good luck at anyone being able to get one of these now. Crutchfield called me and told me JL cant fulfill these anymore and to cancel all orders..

Hey I just posted a new thread on my install questions, I should have searched! So as one gentlemen was saying do I have to get something like the JL LoC22? I have an alpine system and 8.4 uconnect. I bought the stealthbox and an alpine s-a60m amp with a 4 gauge wiring kit and the alpine bass knob. Hoping the amp will fit within the middle but if that big jl 5 channel did surely my mono will.

The Loc will work, and cost you less, but the PAC audio solution is really convenient and works perfectly. The model you would want is the APCH41. You will then be able to run RCA or optical to your amp from the converter.
Hope that helps :)

Ya thank you I already bought the Loc22! I forgot RCA's so ordered a nice one from Crutchfield too lol and I'm about to leave for Las Vegas for my birthday but when I get back I can't wait to put them in. Can you give me any tips on where to route all the cables? I was going to tap into the wires on the passenger B pillar and either mount the loc there or with my subs and I'm going to mount the amp in the space between the 2 subs on top of the box. Do I pull off the plastic pieces over the carpet and pull the carpet up and just lay them there? Is passenger side the best to run the amp's power to the battery as well? And where did you ground? Lots of questions sorry lol but thank you anyone that can help!

Anyone interested in this I can get them about 100$ off just below 1k. I am not making a dollar on it nor am I a dealer I just know a guy at JL audio (can get anything JL direct from them less than retail).

Slims but you wouldn’t be able to tell it’s pretty amazing
I believe it. I just happen to have 2 RE Audio SEX 12D4 @750w Rms and a Hifonics Hercules amp that are all brand new. Really dont want to sell but these are full size subs. May just have to build 2 sealed boxes and just pull them out when I have one of my kids in the back seat.

I have one possibly for sale in West Bloomfield, MI. Purchased, mounted and removed. Never hooked up though because of covid delays getting the rest of the equipment. Just decided I don’t feeling like moving forward with the extensive install myself or pay a shop to do it.

The install with just an amp and the stealtbox should be pretty straight forward. You could use something like a JL LoC22 to get signal from the OEM Subwoofer and convert it to work with a new amp. If you are wanting to upgrade all the speakers and do a full system 5 channel amp I would recommend using something like a PAC AP4-CH41 to give you line level outputs from the Alpine system to a new amp. If you are taking it to a reputable shop they will have a recommendation for something they work with that will work. Let me know if you have any other questions and I can try and answer them.
I'm new to this install. I have the OEM Alpine subwoofer behind the rear seat. If I get the stealthbox, an amp (JL Audio XD600/1v2 Mono), and the LoC22 then I could just use the existing wires from the Alpine Sub? It sounds like I would only have to run a remote bass control knob to the front? I am trying to do the easiest install if possible. Thanks for any advice / info, I appreciate it.
