I also have the max tow package and do not have day time running lights. Perhaps it is like the limited slip and depends on when your truck was built. Or maybe it's one of those items that gets added or removed from the package depending on other options on the truck.

I ordered mine June of 2019, one of the first in town, I have max tow and my window sticker list the daytime running lights as part of Max Tow.

Do you have the extra strip on your fenders? If not you only have the towing option not max tow.

Yes I have the extra lip on the fenders. And the option is listed on my window sticker as "Max Tow Package with 4.10 Axle Ratio" which is clearly not the regular tow package.

Basically, someone bought a truck and never bothered to either ASK about the options it had, or look at the window sticker or build sheet.

The OP does not have the Max Tow so he did not buy something he didn't know about. There is also no evidence that the friend did not know that they bought the Max Tow Package.

No evidence, but do you think they talked at all about the differences?
I'd not compare MY JT to one belonging to a friend or neighbor without asking them- hey, why is your truck different?
I'd be asking - I have a hitch, and so do you, but your fenders are different - did you order it that way or something?

Clearly the OP doesn't know about option differences or max tow vs. regular tow package.

so you have theses fenders, but you don’t have the white lights circled in the attachment? And if you turn on your truck, they don’t illuminate?

Hope not - fog lights = in bumper on these, and have a distinct switch on the dash.
Daytime running lights are on even if headlights aren't and are not in the bumper.
Maybe that will help if there's any confusion there. (LOL - unless I'm also confused - but having done a bumper and light swap, I hope not)

I'm just throwing out suggestions on why there seems to be differences. But I know that mine is one of the first off the line and the only difference I've seen, and I'm not sure when it changed, was adding the LSD or what ever they call it. But as I've said before, it is a amazing that they do manage, with all the different options, to get all the right parts on the right Jeep, so maybe some mistakes have made it through and only the window sticker will answer the questions.
