I purchased a 23 overland in November 24. Looked all over the country for one. My recollection was Fl dealer had over msrp pricing and dealer adds on top of that. There is a reason they are still on the lot! This is not a deal making dealer they are waiting for the fool who only thinks monthly payments. My opinion anyway.

Supposedly they sold all of the Ecodiesel Gladiators over the weekend.

’21 and ‘22 diesel’s go for $30-$36k in DFW depending on trim. Granted, they’re not new and have a few miles on them but saving $15-$20k is attractive.

I’d love to find a JTRD with a blown engine.

Way too much for 2 year old JT's.
You might be surprised. The diesel freaks (like me) would look at this as an opportunity to snatch up a new Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel and still get the 5 year/100,000 mile Powertrain Warranty. There's room to negotiate, but these are rare finds for sure.

Who wouldn’t, 90k miles and a blown motor, cheapest possible path and powertrain warranty still intact!

Not that bad? It's horrible. The moment you drive it off the lot it joins all the other used 2023s in market value.
Yes, but some people don't care about market value, especially if they plan to keep it for the long haul.

Once I get back in country later this year the search will begin.

I'm not really a diesel guy since I think long-term and think about parts and labor on a 10+ year old vehicle. But if I did buy a diesel, I would want every bit of warranty that I could get knowing that repairs could be very expensive. I'm not sure what type of extended warranty Jeep offers (7 or 8 years?) but at least a new one has the 5yr/100k to start.

I doubt you would find one under warranty with a blown engine. Wouldn't the person simply get the vehicle fixed?

People are dumb, various circumstances… I know someone who bought a loaded 300 with a blown hemi back in the day… new motor under warranty and was good to go

The warranty transfers owners. I paid $35k for my 23 willys with 5500 miles. Since it sold in 2024, I still have nearly all the warranty and I saved $20k over these new ones.

Different people want different things. In my case, I want to buy new. This gives me confidence that I know what's been done with the Jeep.

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what all the extended warranties look like. There are several to choose from. When I bought mine, I paid for an 8 year/100,000-mile Mopar MAX CARE bumper-to-bumper warranty. The diesel engine does exclude certain components (mostly emissions related) within that bumper-to-bumper warranty, but for the most part, everything but the EGR cooler, sensors, and the DPF are covered.

That's a good deal. Everyone needs to do what they think is best for them. We wanted to buy new, so we bought a 2023 (December build) in April of last year. It just got its first free 12-month oil change last week. I'll be back in 12 months for the next free 12-month oil change. We weren't ready to buy a Gladiator, but since it was the last of the EcoDiesel, we went ahead and made the purchase when they were 25% off MSRP. It was still expensive, though.

Don't forget that there is also a federal 8yr 80k miles emissions warranty also as I'm sure you know.
