for anyone doing this your self there is a decal appliqué spray you can get off amazon that makes it very easy. Spray in on, slide decal into place, use felt covered squeegee to push all liquid bubbles out, let it dry. Done and perfect!

Soapy water also works...I learned to go HEAVY on the soapy water.

I had hired a body shop to put the white reverse-C stripes back on my 70 Javelin after it was painted. They spent 2 or 3 hours trying to get one side done and gave up. They didn't charge me but I had to order another stripe kit.

So I decided to do it myself - like so many other things, it almost always works out better that way.
I not only got both sides done in a bit over an hour, but they still were show-perfect after several years, up until I sold the car a year ago. No bubbles, no wrinkles.
Now some may wonder - why the heck did it take you SO LONG?
We're talking a long car, two sides, narrow stripes, 5 (FIVE) parts per side of the car and the idea was to place them EXACTLY where the originals were, so I had to follow very precise measurements.
The stripes had to follow the body lines, be the same position as original (same distance from the fender edge, door lines), and crossed over onto the fender and quarter panel extensions.
Soapy water was my friend, along with a soft rubber squeegee. A decal and sign maker gave me instructions (he's done this for a living) and it worked great.

Do I want to do it again? well.............. I doubt it but then...........

No, I never did get it addressed. I'm now hearing it at 45+ but I'm not driving a lot due to my WFH situation so it's not as urgent. I do plan to mention it at my first Jeep Wave oil change and see what the dealer can do about it.

Same here.... I drive 2 - 3 times a week and it is getting louder for me as well. One day I will get compelled to take it in or grab some stick on weatherstrip at Home Depot...haha

Strider, looks great, do the poly mole panels look like they could be trimmed some and shaped to fit some other areas? I assume their color is moulded in and wont chip if cut?

The color is the same all the way through, and the poly cuts very smoothly (at least on my drill press). They make the panels in more than 30 different sizes and shapes - from very small to quite large - but if they don't have a size that works for you, you could easily cut it and shape it with any appropriate power tool. They also make all sorts of mounting plates and attachments for the panels, as well as straps and pouches, etc. I've got two more panels hanging on the backs of my front seats, and I've got them loaded down with all sorts of EDC gear; taken them out on the trails and everything stays put rock solid. This is quality stuff!

I put the new registration sticker on for the next 12 months. COOOOLD out so I removed the plate, took it into my shop to warm it up so I could remove last year's sticker, cleaned the plate and applied the new one. I'm not one of those who keeps putting new stickers over old until they stick out .25" or that arranges them around the plate like they can't decide where to put it - or can't read directions. That's dumb. I want it clean, tidy, and looking neat - like I read the directions the county provided on where to apply the new sticker.
Otherwise, likely I won't be doing much of anything TO it for a while, the cold is here to stay and I haven't put my Javelin back together enough to back it out of my shop (otherwise, watch out, all heck would break loose on that truck)
