Sounds like it’s trying to take of 25% (which is an email promotion right now) off the regular price. Good thing about harbor Freight is they never hassle and just adjust the price.

I had a similar incident with an ATV winch from them, at the register they adjusted the price to the advertised price and then gave the 30% off... I ended up getting the winch for over 50% off. I’m sure some could luck out in the same fashion w this deal!

How good is this price? I just ordered my JT yesterday and didn’t plan on a winch as one of my first mods, but this is tempting. Should I expect a similar price again by the Spring?

I went to HF for some other stuff yesterday, I looked at this winch as they had one on display, I was blown away at how large it is physically, it is huge!

The Harbor Freight by me said this is a counterfeit ad and would not honor it. I spoke with 2 different managers.

They do this every so often but like many other things - don't expect it forever.......... their costs will go up, currency markets will change -the exchange rate will change, etc. so some day, it'll stop. But I got mine for a bit over $400 with one of their real coupons. (that's with 7% tax which works out to a bit over 26 bucks tax)
Yes, it's heavy and big but very nice and tough and great reviews out there on them, even after they've been abused. And you can get parts for them if needed.
I notched the top of my bumper and trimmed the end off the winch clutch release lever to clear the bumper's bar but it sure came out great, IMO, at least.

Yes this winch is quite large, I had to cut my bumper back a little to fit the opening.

Now that’s a deal! That’s more than half off, kinda like what they did with my ATV winch. Makes me want to get one just because it’s such a good deal, but by the time I get a bumper to accommodate it...

I got mine for $400 in May with the 2yr warranty also using the managers discount. $302 is the best I've seen it for and that means they didn't make but $2 on that sale. My buddy who manages the Harbor Freight in Kannapolis said they cost them $300 to stock.

I picked up this winch for $281.24 plus tax as well. Took about 10 minutes at the checkout and a couple of managers. They kept trying the coupon code associated with the $374 price and it wouldn’t work right, so they manually adjusted to internet price match and my 25% coupon worked as well. I wasn’t ready to buy one but for that price I couldn’t pass it up.

So having been wheeling the better part of 50 years in the PNW, both in groups, and solo. a winch is kinda like a insurance policy on your rig. You do not want it to fail. A good warn will run you between 550-1200 depending where you buy it from. after you have killed that badlands and its left you stuck (unless your a mall crawler) and a Warn pulls you out. remember that savings because your going to spend that plus 550-1200 on a real & tested winch. You get what you pay for.. Made in China just like covid
