This is great news I’m a hardtop guy who’s been waiting for the Bestop version since the the Softopper version will not work with the Decked Drawer system and isn’t available in Black Twill.

What is the Gladiator height from tub rail to hardtop vs. tub rail to softop?

To be honest, I'm a Brute owner just hoping Bestops Gladiator topper is close enough. Softopper used to make one for the Brute, but they've discontinued it and the way Softoppers Gladiator offering mounts won't work for us. There are a handful of Brute owners on an AEV group hoping similar.

I think its safe to assume so! Look up their Supertop 2 for Tacomas. I imagine it's that style sized for Gladiators.

If you can give a dimension from either bed rail cap down, or bed up to the end of your support bars to the DECKED guys, they could probably give you an answer.

They are a fixed dimension from either the bed rail cap or the bed and know how much head space is above their system.

Yeah, if it doesn’t fit the soft top lines it’s a waste of time for me. I’ll hold any judgement until we see the final product, but I hope it’s not too far from the original render concepts.

@Bestop When you say "very soon" - can you give us any kind of realistic timeline for when these might be ready? This thread was started 12/2018. I know these things take time- but do you think buyers will have these in hand in 3 months? 6? 12?

Oh as of now I believe we'll be shipping sooner than the 3 month timeline.

Do you know if Bestop has any plans to make a covered pass-through to the cab for soft tops or an extension to keep the bed enclosed when running with the tailgate down? With the short bed I find myself running with overflowing loads pretty often and a modular system like this seems perfect for these extra goodies.

Do you know if Bestop has any plans to make a covered pass-through to the cab for soft tops or an extension to keep the bed enclosed when running with the tailgate down? With the short bed I find myself running with overflowing loads pretty often and a modular system like this seems perfect for these extra goodies.

I think that would be an excellent option, especially since the facing windows are separate pieces. If Bestop won't make it for you, a good top shop could, too. Just need the front panel of the Supertopper and a spare back window ($190 or less) sown or zippered together.
