Why was Gator and Gobi dropped?

Why was Gator and Gobi dropped as exterior colors for the 2021 model? I have been waiting for a diesel but wanted it in Gator.

You do realize that from time to time companies introduce new colors and drop others?...
At times they drop those that sell the least volume, other times it's just to pull in new market. Different people like different colors. They can't run dozens at once.

Certain colors have always been limited run. Meaning they make a set amount of vehicles in that color and that's that.

In 2012 there were 3300 JK's in Crush Orange produced. Nothing more, nothing less, and the color has not returned. Just like my 2017 Ram 1500 in Sublime green. Only 3000 were made.

I wouldn't hold my breath expecting Gator or Gobi to return any time soon.

I feel the same. I was in the market for a midsized truck, but when I saw the JT in Snazzberry Pearl, I knew my mind was made up. The first one I found in that color was a JTO, and even though I bought a different one 200 miles away, it was a Snazzberry JTO.

Went in for a sting gray, but once I saw the gobi nothing else mattered..bought it on the spot.

When the 2018 JL first came out, Nacho was not a color you could order, but there were some delivered to dealers in that color, then it was gone. It's the first discontinued JL color to come back.
