Give it 2 years tops and they will be lost in the sea of vehicles. They won't stand out much. Just like the Challenger when it first came out and now.

Don't get me wrong. Love the Challenger and the idea of the Bronco.

I like the 2dr version a lot. Might have to get one after a few years out in the market, but who knows, I am still kind of in the market for an older 2dr wrangler, so....

The Bronco has a chance to be good. Sure it will be be wildly popular. I was in that camp of getting in line for one.

The more I saw the Gladiator the quicker I came to my current situation with a ‘21. I think the gladiator is just a cooler looking vehicle. This and the fact I wasn’t willing to wait until possibly 2022 to get out and about.

And yes, I chased these cats all over Phoenix waiting for them to land so I could get an up and close look.

Is it me, or does the "freedom panel" not look like it sits properly next to the rear roof. Like an awkward joint.

I saw my first one today too! I had a different reaction. I was surprised at the smaller size. It actually looks liked like a Land Rover to me. I liked the look. Keeping my JT but going down to the dealer and look at them in person. Might trade in my other vehicle. Agreed what I saw was more street-oriented than offroad
I haven't paid much attention to the bronco sport but recently noticed they did a stepped roof in the rear like the old LR Discovery. But its a cute ute - basically a Ford Escape with cladding and programming. Yech. I'll reserve judgement until I see the full size version although pretty sure JT and JL's will come out on top for rugged simplicity. Those broncos are not going to live up to the abuse with all that electronic shit and modifying them is going to be expensive...

I guess "cool" is is all subjective, but in my opinion there isn't a single thing the new Bronco does better than a Wrangler.

And if they come out with a Bronco truck, which would be a pickup truck based on an suv based on a pickup truck, Im sure it wouldn't touch Gladiator in capability OR cool factor
They do independent front suspensions better than any gladiator on the market :CWL:

I had a reservation for a Bronco since day one. Ended up buying the Gladiator instead, for towing a TT. Plus I always liked the gladiator. Certainly wasn’t a sacrifice going with it.

we decided to keep the reservation and order the bronco for my wife. We placed our official order this last monday. Per the options we chose, looks like we will get it around the end of the year.

It will have dual lockers, sway bar disconnect, Sasquatch package and all the other goodies. Can’t wait. My wife and I work form home, so I’ll be putting the miles on the bronco and the gladiator, since they will both be sitting in the garage.

Ford is currently working on a Bronco Warthog (Raptor). Looks like it’s going to have 37s stock with long travel suspension. That should be pretty sick.

Which is a far better choice for the significant majority of new Wrangler buyers. People around here like to talk up the SFA but the reality is that not a lot of new JL buyers need the solid axle for off-roading. The big limiter on IFS vehicles is that even 35s on a 4Runner require significant work and now you have one that fits 37s with no modifications whatsoever.

If the Sport is any indicator, the new Bronco is going to be a good looking truck. I would totally do the Sport for a commuter if I actually had the need for one but the wife wants a Crosstrek instead.

I rolled up next to a Sasquatch 4-door a little while back in our JKUR- definitely has a cool road presence. Definitely has a little less headroom than a Wrangler, and a higher hood/belt line.

My incoming diesel is the last ICE vehicle I’m ever buying for personal use.

Ford has a huge advantage on electrification front. When the 100k warranty is up on the gladiator I’m gonna make a call to keep it long term or sell and if I pick door number two it’ll very likely be for an electric bronco warthog.
This is of course dependent on how my Rivian R1S has done, as that electric drivetrain will end up in the bronco. That one shows up Q1 2022 and I just can’t wait to trade my model Y for it

I was not particularly impressed with the looks. More Explorer ish looking than not. The dolled up JT Sports and stock JTR's and JTM's beat it on looks department. Granted I probably saw a base model, nothing fancy. It wasn't ugly, just seemed same ole.
You named every base model except the JTO.

After the Bronco has been out for a year or so I will consider a 2 door to replace our JL.
I am not a rock crawler and the IFS ride quality interest me more than it is a turn off.
Actually the turbo only motors are more of a turn off.
I do like what Ford has done with the roofs and doors vs the Jeeps.
In 2 door versions it seems like it has a little more room too.
Hopefully by that time Jeep will counter with doors that store in the vehicle too.

Probably shouldnt be on a Jeep forum if you're excited about an ifs
Sorry - you must not have understood my sarcasm. I bought my JTR 6MT specifically because it had two live axles. Just like my 03 Land Rover Discovery. So - pretty sure you and I agree that IFS is NOT desirable and the perfect example of why ford is just doing it wrong...
