I’m trying to pick-up a lightly use Sport S and want to make sure it’s a Max-Tow version. I’m looking at pictures and I want to know how can I spot the differences between a Max Tow and the “Trailer-Tow Package”.

The only real difference is the axles: the width and ratio are different.
So you can try to measure the width, which is gonna be difficult if the wheels have been changed, or check the axle ratio by either looking at the tag or measuring it.

Or check the build sheet with the VIN.

The Max Tow also has different fenders. Without a few to compare, it's hard to tell by just looking, unless you know what to look for.

It shoud say it on the window sticker. It will have M210/M220 axles (Dana 44 Wide Axles) w/ 4.10 gears, a 240amp Alternator, upgraded cooler, Trac-Lock rear differential and a class IV trailer receiver hitch.

Fenders are very easy to see the difference. The max tow has a little lip around the very edge that the non max tow models do not have.

There is a site, I think it is a jeep.com/mopar site, that you can put your vin number in and it will tell you tow capacity.

Mopar used to have it on their website, and it was shown when I logged in. They removed that from the site after its accuracy was called into question here on the forum. I assume that's why they removed it, because the timing of it makes sense. Anyway is that the one you're talking about or is there something else I'm not aware of?

If it is a Max Tow Fireworks go off and make a giant sign that says it every time someone looks at it....... At least that is how it feels around the forums lol

In other words it is like a person being vegan. Don't worry they will tell you!

On a new Glad it would be easier to spot out... but I'm looking to save $8-10k on a lightly used one and want to make sure it's what the dealer says.

keep in mind the gap for a used one isn’t 8-10 apart.... possibly with a early 2020 LE or fully loaded overland, but usually if you shop right you can get quiet a bit off the MRSP new... gaps aren’t as far apart as you first would think. Don’t compare used prices to MSRP... it’s not apples to apples.
