I'm not sure if I missed it or not but what tune are you running it on? eco? sport? If I remember correctly you change that through the dash and steering wheel controls with the Pulsar right?

Great reports!

On the highway every morning same route...65mph with cruise...or without but mostly with...I get 15mpg. As a matter of fact this tank Im on is at 15mpg...mix driving...it really doesn't matter. If I go over 65 my mpg get ugly....when I towed my 16' tandom with a buggy & stock gearing I got about the same mpg's as a M911 hauling an M1Abram.

It changes through the dash yes. I always run the performance tune on 91 octane. The better fuel allows for a much better spark curve, especially given the compression ratio of the motor. Id expect the Livernois 93 tune to be superb too.

Today’s run was just over 21. At this point im going to stop tracking. After multiple runs over 20mpg, on mixed route i have successfully added about 50 miles of tank range at overland highway speed while adding 37’s, weight, and 4” of lift. This is remarkable.

I decided to add a bit yo the route today and fuck around by *ahem* “keeping pace with left lane traffic and accel from stop lights”. This dropped us in rolling hills to 17-17.5mpg, which is where the truck was at that speeds stock maybe a little higher. Considering the weight of these tires and the air drag from 4” of lift, i consider this all a huge win for this endeavor.

I want to make a quick note: if you live at elevation, PLEASE do not follow this method until you are supercharged. This will not do for you what boost will. Gears will not do for you what boost will. Period. Get a blower with a good tune, then an intake, then exhaust. You need pressure to overcome the elevation. If you cant afford to boost if, consider waiting until you can. If that isnt in the picture, then gear deep and for from there

This method works, but i dont want folks at elevation setting themselves up for disappointment. Youll be money into these parts when youd be better served pinching pennies for a blower.

@Kurt absolutely amazing and great news! This is literally the best thread, Thank you for the R& D and providing us with valuable info for mpg on large tire rigs. Curious to see what 40s would do lol

Im honestly not tracking the new diesel motor. Ive used Green Diesel Engineering before on my old crd jeep and had good luck with it. I ran the PPEI tune on my cummins with emissions intact. It never did a single regen in 2yrs in that tune it burned so damn clean. Id give it some time and check with some place like diesel power products. They track all that stuff

Im 1,000 miles in so far and driving a lot. I have some notes to send them; but so far none of the hard fault issues i had on V3 have happened on V4.

Good. Hopefully that goes good. It looks like I will be waiting until the V4 comes out before placing my order.

Green Diesel Engineering states their emissions compliant tune should be available late summer.

Are you running a high flow cat 2.5 exhaust? Or a catback 2.5? Or neither lol

Ive only changed the catback. 3” system from @Dave/AWE @Josh/AWE

I may add a y pipe to that with the blower, but i dont know that Ill mess with headers. With CARB becoming an increasingly big deal in more and more states and epa on the warpath, and my job relocating frequently, staying fully federal and 50 state legal is an important factor to me. Getting the family set up after a move is enough work already; adding 30hrs of r&r of stock parts back in then modded parts back in after is an additional ass pain i want nothing to do with. Blower and header installs arent things i want to do more than once.
