I've heard Wrangler drivers giving Gladiator drivers the finger. Happens with m/c riders too. Harley riders flipping off import riders. Assholes are not brand specific.
“Assholes are not brand specific.” - simply an awesome sentence. So. Flippin’. True.

It’s a Jeep thing, they don’t understand... and they never will.

So Jeepers unite... and wave no matter how tired your arm may get. The non wavers will eventually get it, or sell and buy a Bronco.

We all need the positivity and the Jeep is born with it! Every time I jump in that seat I have a smile on my face!

No use in saying you will leave this country. America has gone through a lot just since 1942 (and since 1776... but the Jeep was born in 1942. A symbol of American Pride from its making to the battlefield.) We will see many changes in our lifetime I am sure, but not enough to leave. This Country’s well being is up to us to keep its fires burning. We are a different people, no matter where you started from, you live here, you are part of America.

I believe we will come through this on the other side better than before. No, may not be easy but the American spirit is just that, it lives in all of us, some just don’t know it is there.

As one of many who fought for this Country... America... I can say every sacrifice over all these years IS worth it. My Brothers and my Sisters that gave it all to make it so, would say the same thing. Respect them, take pride in where you live. Don’t let cancel culture of the few decide your happiness. You make that choice to be happy.

JEEP... it is a symbol of an idea and what AMERICA is all about. IDEAS and the tenacity, the spirit and a will that no other country will ever understand.

Wife and I were wheeling around Behind the Rocks dunes today with our skills training group. Bronco team and their ride alongs were there all day. As we were heading out onto trail, we were cordial and let a group of Bronco “passengers” go by. As they were going by our group, they were all giving us the finger.

If that is the type of buyer buying the Bronco, I’m glad we ditched our Fords for Jeep only. Waiting another 2 years to get their toys must be starting to grate on them.

Had a great trail day and tackled some really good obstacles.
So Ford shows back up at the party 30 years later with a vehicle they've been working on for 5 years despite taking almost all their designs and concepts directly from Jeep and suddenly they're the cat's meow?

Um, ok.....

I have unfortunately come to the realization that our country has become bat shit crazy. Just take a look at the way people are behaving in traffic, and in person. I was backing up into a parking spot the other day and a woman parked and on her cell phone a space away began honking and yelling at me for no apparent reason. As she left she flipped me off. Wife and I have absolutely no understanding as to what her problem was..... Crazy. As retired LEO's wife and I have all too often seen the result of fools screwing with people they have no knowledge of, and should we continue in the vein we are seeing now.... There will be more violence. Sadly, this is where we are now. Stay low Jeepers, and watch out for the nuts amongst us.

I have a theory on this.

The reason Americans are turning into inconsiderate assholes is because things have been too easy for too long. You had the Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War, WW1, The Great Depression, WWII, Vietnam, etc. etc... All of this occurred before the internet and electronics and technology. People for many decades had no choice but to work hard to survive. That in and of itself instills within people an understanding of life and the appreciation of working together. It made people proud of what they had here in America.

For the last 30 years, it's basically been a cake walk. Sure, we suffered through 9/11 but other than that life has been easy. Technology has increased to the point where humans don't really have to work hard at anything. Social media has made it easy to talk trash about anybody or anything. People are becoming spoiled little babies. They're bored.

I believe at this point the only thing that could unite us and save America would be another national catastrophe.

I just checked in on the Bronco forum and they are one group of angry people.

I guess I would be too if the Gladiator release had been moved back as many times as the Bronco has.

That Oriental Virus could have done it if it was allowed to run it's course, right?

I waved at a guy driving a wrangler today. He stared right at me, just smirked and looked away. Douche...
I get this alot in my area. I don't even wave anymore. It's either a chick with her phone driving, or a dude who thinks his shit doesn't stink. People just like to hate because the "not one of us" mentality.

I've told this story before, but I think it applies here as well:

When I was living in Germany driving my JKU around, it was fairly uncommon to see other Jeeps, except for those driven by military/DoD civilians around the bases. Jeeps in Germany are VERY expensive to buy (a fully kitted Rubicon cost the same in Euros as it did in dollars here, and at the time the Euro was worth about $1.50 - so that $60,000 rubicon cost them the equivalent of $90,000), and even worse to fill up - imagine paying $7-8 per gallon when you are getting 15 miles to the gallon. So seeing a Euro-spec Jeep was a rare thing.

It was drive topless day, so we decided to drop the top and go for a drive around the Black Forrest. I see a Euro-spec Jeep driving towards me, also sans roof. The driver had both arms extended straight up, waving furiously. I return his wave, slightly less enthusiastically than him as at least one of us needed to have a minimum of one hand on the steering wheel. To this day I wonder if I was his first Jeep wave.

So regardless of the mood I'm in, or what response I get in return, I always wave - you never know if you will change someone's day for the better.

So much going on in my brain from this thread......
I wave at Jeeps, other off-road vehicles, anyone I might meet on a trail some day (and those Jeeps I never will). We are all in this hobby together, I would help any of you. Maybe even a Bronco owner on the trail. In a lifetime of hot rodding I have helped and been helped by all different genres of cars, bikes, people etc..

Thank you to everyone who is or who has served! It is your blood that has made America as great as it is.
@WXman , @IamAlan I agree, we have lived high on the hog since the second war. Our days are getting easier and our wars more distant.
@redrider Yes, almost any catastrophe or simple hardship that people are forced to endure would help. It's just not 'nice' to let it happen.
Stepping down from soap-box now.

See you out there!!!

True enough, I am happy to say this is something I have not had the displeasure of experiencing.

The problem with buying a Ford Bronco is that, from day one, those owners will have a chip on your shoulder for not having bought the “real deal.”

It is like that guy in a Toyota FJ Cruiser that tags to the end of a line of Jeeps, and has to prove to everyone that his Toyota is more capable on the trail than all the other Jeeps.
