Made some DIY headliners. Spent a while at Joanne fabrics till I found something that matched the Sting Grey well and looked "factory".

Pretty interesting how much of a difference it's making. You could literally hear them going in.
I bought a big box of Killamat to go with it, and some Hertz components coming in this week.

I added motorcycle mirrors today for going without my doors. I used hinge mounted mirrors last year and didn’t like them at all. These won‘t turn like the hinge mirrors. And can’t go without mirrors in New York State. I bought mirrors that were 8mm threads to match the cowl panel bolts and if I add some sort of soft fabric doors I don’t have to remove the mirrors.

The cowl bolts are 10mm. Those real nice mirrors you used included the necessary size adapter..

That is why I replied in this thread where 8mm was mentioned..

Both JL and JT, use 10mm...... as well as JK's which also use 10 mm.

And the thread I quoted is just as adamant that they are 8 mm. I'm not an expert, but there is definitely conflicting information from a few sources.

I have installed 10mm stem Harley mirrors as shown (cowl bolt hole) on 3 JK's, on 4 JL's and 1 JT.
Cowl bolt is 10mm. 8-) And I do not post sizes, etc., unless I am positive..

Sorry mate, Fishbone provides M8 and M6 bolts for mounting their light bar bracket. (Under installation and what's in the box.). If I do decide to go this route, I'll pull the bolt and verify size before I pull the trigger on the purchase.

Just took her home Friday and was blessed with a 70 degree day so first thing I did was take the doors off. First time jeeper here and that was a LOT easier than I expected.

Be careful when reinstalling the doors. You may want to check the female side in the truck and see how feeble the connection is to understand how careful you need to be.

After a little trial and error I managed to get the doors back on without real issue. Only thing to note is the plastic cover for the wires on the driver side seems a but looser than the passenger side if that makes sense. It's clipped in and takes effort to remove like normal but just wiggles more to the touch.
