I’m getting my mopar 2” lift installed on my sport s this week. I bought 1/2” spacers. I really don’t want to pull it apart twice. Should I put the spacers it when installing the lift? I do want some rake but as little as needed, I tow a 5000lb boat around and don’t want rear squat. Thoughts?

100% yes. 3/4" spacers on top of my lift and just a little rake. Added winch and just as bit more. Just got home from towing a 5,000# (estd) scout trailer and it was level.

If I were you I would attach the boat without the lift and see how much sag you have. If the truck is level I wouldn’t add any spacers. I can’t speak for the spring rates of the MOPAR kit, but I can only imagine they’re close to or the same as factory rates. Meaning same amount of sag as current suspension with boat attached.

Do you have any pics with the 3/4” front spacers?

Take a look and search the suspension section of this forum. There's lots of info.

Are you adding a weight up front (steel bumper, winch)?

Are you towing the boat all the time?

A 1/2" spacer will not be very noticeable. If you want to reduce rake install it now. I went went with a 1" spacer to compensate for a steel bumper, winch, and to reduce a little rake.

Thanks - I have been searching and reading a lot but not very easy to find diesels so I posted it over here looking for info from fellow diesel owners.

I’m not towing all the time. Maybe 6 times a year otherwise it stays at the marina. No bumper or winch now but maybe in a year.

Fair enough. Since you want the truck to sit more level, do not want to redo the suspension work, and may add weight up front in the future I see no downside to installing the spacer at the same time as the lift. A 1/2 wont bring you even with the rear.

ive never liked spacers, if you want to eliminate the squat get good springs and pay that money money for adjustable shocks! That is literally what they are made for when towing.

Put the 1/2” so we in. You’ll like the look. There is still some rake.

I put in the 1/2” spacers with my mopar lift and love it!

I’m running 1.5” TerraFlex spacers - factory steel bumper, 12K winch. Sits perfect on 37s.

Diesel Sport with the daystar 3/4" spacer and Mopar 2" on 37s. I also tow a handful of times a year and haul a few dirt bikes around frequently so wanted to keep 50% of the factory rake. I love my setup and think it is the perfect amount of level/rake.

I went with the 1/2” in the front. Still have about 3/4” of rake.
