I have no complaints with it closed...very quiet! It's when open and there's 6ft of fabric piled above the cab that it gets ridiculous. Some have suggested straps, so may give that a try.
Mine came with straps to tighten up the soft top when in the open position, didn't everyone's? I used them at the beginning, but now I just turn up the radio.

That's my thoughts entirely, unless this is something new for the JL/JT, then that sounds wrong.

Bestop has made the OEM tops for a LONG time, and that's not stopped them from making their own tops. I suspect they've just not made one yet because most people aren't looking for replacement tops for 1 year old (or newer) vehicles.

Give them time, and they'll release something.

Couldn't you just take the HardTop off and put in a garage or leave it at the house. It's only a 10 minute job removing the hard top. Just saying, if your removing the whole thing then why even have a soft top, seems pointless to me.
You only need to remove fabric section.leave door surrounds on. Four bolts and toss it into the bed.

Didn’t read through all 7 pages to see if it’s been mentioned, but MyTop is working on a power opening soft top for the gladiator. Just had their power soft top put on my Wife’s JLU and it’s really nice. Was talking with the owner and he was telling me about their gladiator top. Going to slide open to the back and down behind the rear window area.

I get that but I could just remove my hardtop and set it in the garage. Soft tops supposed to be for convenience, just flip back and go, if I got to remove it to make it look right, might as well just remove the hard top.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Not crazy about the looks but glad the top doesn’t get in the way of having a functioning bed. My Gladiator premium soft top is hands down the best, quietest and easiest to use of all the Jeeps I’ve had over the last 26 years.

I got a bed cover so if it just folded down to the back of the bed right at the top half of it I would lose no more space than having my bed cover on and let's be real, who's hauling a bunch of crap in the bed with the top folded back

I agree, but removing the hardtop is a 2 person job. My wife isn't so keen to help me with it anymore. I can take a soft top off by myself. Most likely what I'll end up doing is purchasing that suntop when it comes out and running that during the summers. I know there are hard top hoists, but my garage just has no room for one. It'd have to go exactly where my garage door motor is.

I’m about to order a new jt with everything I want... I skipped out on the soft top..... I’m hoping this sun top is good... don’t see paying the extra for a tonneau cover or I’d consider the dual top otherwise, used is going pretty high in my area

It's not a two person job. I'm only 5 4, 148lbs and I remove mine in 10 minutes or less by myself. It weighs way less than the JKU and JL hardtops do. You just got to learn the proper technique to use to remove it. JT hardtop weighs less than 60lbs if I had to guess.

Any pointers? Post a video or something. Seriously. It's not that it's heavy, it's just awkward, and I don't want to break that back window glass. Show me how you do it. Or can you describe your method here?

I think I can do it myself, I've just been scared to try.

I open the back window, put 1 arm inside and reach over with the other and grab the top edge and just lift, pivot and walk off the back. It's only about 80lbs.

Genius. I'm going to try this tomorrow.
