Did you ever notice these kind of posts are always from someone where this is their first post? Makes you wonder which one of us is using these bogus accounts to post "soft" questions/rants to the forum so they don't "ruin their reputation".

Maybe Stellantis will switch Sarge Green for John Deere Green in the near future?
I know the Sarge is a little darker, but it is close enough.
My neighbor was doing a golf cart recently to drive his kids around and he was doing it in green and yellow (he is not a Packer fan) so I gave him a John Deere emblem to put on the front. It is pretty sweet.

Nice upholstery. Did you do the dash pad yourself? Are the doors accented as well? I have a Katzkin kit coming and it only does the seats and headrests. I'm having the work done by an authorized upholstery shop but if it's not too hard and I can save money I'll DIY the other parts.

...and do you know why Henry Ford painted all his model A's and T's black? Class? Yes, You in the back with the funny haircut.

"Black dried faster than other colors so it kept up with the swiftness of the assembly line.

It's not hard but it's not cheap. Factory matched paint adds a lot of expense to the process that most people aren't going to want to pay for when a simple selection of colors suffices for 90% of the market. Even JT/JL specific parts would need to match all colors from all years and Jeep has had over a dozen colors at this point between the two.

As @DankjeeP said, you can always paint it yourself if it really means that much to you.
It can be easy and cheap. Many companies offer rattle can paint that is perfectly matched with factory paint.

I had some dings in my bumper from 10+ years of use. It bothered me, but I didn't want to spend big bucks. So I ordered a kit. It came with paint, including clear coat and instructions. I taped it off prepped the surface and shot it. It looks great.

You could buy a similar kid for non-color matched accessories.

Thank you, Alan. I did not do the dash pad myself. I ordered the entire interior kit from leatherseats.com because they offer more than just seat covers, but matching center console cover, shift boots, armrest covers, and dash pad. Katzkins only offers the seat covers and I wanted to "undo" more of the black interior color. Oddly, some of the interior options (like the dash pad) are not even listed on leatherseats.com's website, and I found out about them from a pot on this forum. I had a local upholstery company do the installation.

I have also been slowly removing interior plastic panels and painting them Sarge Green to match the exterior paint. It has been a fun project!

Good luck with your Jeep and have fun on your build. Please post photos!

Dog color does not match trucks color. Collar color neither matches dogs nor trucks color… it is a sad and beautifull world….

Ah, Germany.....You are then familiar with the Riesenschnauzer. This wonderful dog is our fourth, and he is a magnificent friend and protector. He usually wears a vest which is also not the same color of his coat, or the Jeep, but he likes it all the same. Best to you.

I like SPAM. Fried crispy, garnished with yellow mustard. On cheap ass white bread.
And the OP is just voicing what I've been wrestling with for 6 months. But I don't get vocal about it.
spam, everything they won’t put in a hotdog
