Today I had my new Icon Rebound wheels in Bronze installed. I contacted Don from Discount Tire here on the Gladiator Forum for help since they are a forum sponsor. They knocked it out of the park! He helped me with the entire order, checked on availability, set up the invoice online for my local store, and had the manager contact me personally. I felt like a VIP. Once the wheels came in, two days later, I received an email with their next available appointment - the next day. I was out of town, so I rescheduled online for today. I arrived on time, they did the swap, as I kept the same stock JTR tires, paid, and they got me out in less than 45 minutes! Would have been closer to 30, but their computers went down for a few minutes. Had to have been the easiest and most thorough experice I have ever had. If you want new wheels/tires...hit them up!

Set Up: Stock JTR, TeraFlex 1.5 Leveling Kit, Daystar Rear 3/4 Comfort Spacer.

Those look good on that color.

I’ve bought all, but one set of tires from Discount over the years. They’re phenomenal at what they do. If I find a better price on tires elsewhere they have always priced match to keep my business. I can’t see a reason to go anywhere else.

They don't do alignments.

They seem to be a bit higher than others from my experience and they want price match for the prices I found. I found some tires and they were at $1500 out the door at discount and Mavis was at $1178 out the door. They knocked off the extras and I was still at $1310. They got good customer service but in my experience are a little higher.

They don't, nor do they do brakes, oil changes, or mufflers. Most tire shops don't offer alignments unless they offer other automotive services.

That's interesting. I just bought a set from DT and they priced matched no problem. They even priced matched for tires they didn't technically carry. I brought in a quote from Walmart for Cooper Discoverer ATs (basically the old AT3s, but now labeled as AT for Walmart as an exclusive.) and asked if they would price match. Since those were Walmart exclusives and they didn't carry them they offered their ATPs (which are exclusive to DT and a much better looking tire) instead and price matched no problem and that was a $50 difference per tire. The only difference was their install was like $5 more per tire and since I didn't have a full quote showing them mounted and balanced, only the tires, they couldn't price match install or they would of they told me. So I saved $200 and spent an extra $20 at DT on the install, but got a better experience. I'm not sure why they didn't price match the out the door price for you unless you picked up their certs.

@Jeeperjamie, I apologize if the store did not explain the difference in the total OTD pricing. I'd be happy to check into it for you if you like? PM headed your way.

I've had fantastic experience with Costco. Great prices, free tire rotation, free snow tire change, free road hazard insurance, excellent service.

Though they don't have tires above 285/70-17s.

I had a great experience getting my 35s installed on the Quadratec retro CJ style wheels. The store sourced all 5 tires from around the country, had them installed in 30 minutes, and were extremely professional throughout the entire process.

I've also ordered Michelins for my Navigator and previous Lexuses and had the same positive experience.

Twice they said they couldn't match the price so far. One quote i got off here for tires I took to Mavis and they beat the price by $250. I took their quote back to the Concord store and they said they couldn't match it. Not sure. I'm not knocking their customer service but their prices are a little higher. I wish Sears was still around, the one in Concord, nobody could beat their price on tires, but Mavis in Concord has been pretty close.

If they are like Sam's Club, they won't install anything bigger than stock.

Some places still understand that Customer Service is what makes a repeat customer.

Other places think if they are a few $ cheaper they can act however they want.
