Good afternoon all. I have a 21 JT Sport S with the 4.10's. I am about to install a 2.5" Lift and 37" Tires on 17x8.5 -6mm wheels. Did I just mess up and should have went with 35's?

What is the BACK SPACE In inches.. I believe the -6mm is OFFSET which is different than Back space. Also.. you should check the tire brand web site for specs on wheel width for the tires you are installing; many chain tire stores will not mount if outside the tire mfg spec requirements.Good afternoon all. You might find it very sluggish with 4.10s and 37s.. https://www.tireoutlet.com/blog/2942/wheel-offset-and-backspacing-explained/#:~:text=Backspacing vs. Wheel Offset Chart , 0 8 more rows
Oh yeah, that too. Meant to comment before. Thanks all for the replies! Makes me feel better about the decision to go 37's with the lift and keeping the stock gears for now. I will likely re-gear to 4.88 down the road, but just had the funds to do lift, wheels and tires first. I am also looking at the 12+8 Pin Cable and Bluetooth OBD II plug so I can re-cal with the JSCAN app.

Same here. I didn't notice much sluggishness at all though coming off 35s.You'll be fine. Its gonna be slower for sure but the 4.10's roll the 37's ok. I'm on 0 offset with 37's and 410's and still get 14.5 mixed with a lead foot.
Also for the guy asking, the backspace is 4.5.Take the size of the rim (8.5) then divide by 2 (4.75) and then add the offset. So 4.75 + -.25" (-6mm converted) gives you the 4.5.
Since the Original Offset was +40, they will stick out a bit. 37's on 17" wheels are typically over 100 lbs. each. Went with 35's on 17" wheels on my Overland. Wheel and Tire weight went went from 65 lbs. to 97 lbs. and my mileage went from 20 Avg. to 14. But I still love my truck. Just do the 4:88s and look in your rear view mirror. Angst eliminated.
Damn skippy it does. ??I will be angst free Thursday afternoon. I feel like a responsible Jeep owner. I coulda bought cool stuff to make my Jeep look cooler, but I went with 4.88. That counts as responsible right?
